Sturdy and Useful Shower Chair
This was a gift so don't know about price. Chair locks so doesn't move when in use. It is very heavy but an amazing chair for the open bottom as an invalid uses it. Highly recommend.

Beautifully engineered and completely functional
My wife, who is wheelchair bound because of MS, uses this chair for here daily shower. It's easy for her to get in and out, allowing her to get a good bath sitting down. She finds it very comfortable, and I find it easy to assist her. I was impressed with the simple, creative design, the quality materials and workmanship. There are only a few moving parts, but they all work smoothly and precisely, unlike a lot of lower quality medical equipment out there. A bit pricier than some, but well worth it.

Good but expensive
Comes mostly assembled. Lightweight, smooth operation. Must go backwards over any bumps or risk tipping. No height adjustment: seat is pretty tall. Really good but overpriced

Instructions needed
Footrest, instructions missing . Height adjustment needs to be explained as there’s no adjustment parts.

Indispensible
This is the best combination shower/potty chair out there. It is costly but has been invaluable during my spouse's recuperation. Best advice is to get the adjustable height model because, unknown to me, different handicapped toilets can be different heights. Also, spend the extra money and get the soft cover made for the chair as well.

Thoughtfully designed ... can be customised for specific needs
The standard Etac chair (with rigid back panel) is likely to be very comfortable for anyone who can sit fairly upright. However, for someone with a bent-forward posture, the rigid back panel will dig into the arched spine causing severe discomfort. Etac provide a solution to this problem, it can be found in the accessories section on their website. It turns out that the rigid back panel can be removed and replaced with a flexible soft mesh alternative called the SOFT BACK SUPPORT (see snapshots). This simple accessory transformed our chair from a totally unusable device to a very comfortable, constantly used shower commode. We chose the height adjustable model because it gives more flexibility when adapting the device to home conditions. A soft seat pad and a pan were ordered separately. The Etac Clean stands out in terms of quality and functional design. While expensive, it is easily better than anything we tried before.
