I have been trying to heal ulcers since last year. I got prescriptions from my doctor but it did not work. After a lot of research I found out about Chios mastic gum/Mastiha. I found some cheap capsules here on Amazon and decided to try them. 2 weeks went by with no results. I did more research and decided to open a capsule and found that it did not smell or taste like real mastic should. I found this product from Greece and bought it. After 1 week I started to notice the pain from my ulcer was not as severe. It has been close to 2 weeks of using this product and I am feeling much better that I have felt in the last 9 months. This is the real deal and I am about to make another order. This stuff works wonders for my ulcers. I put some resin tears in a baggie and freeze it, then take a hammer and crush it in the baggie, then I use a mortar and pestle to further grind it down. I also chew the resin like gum sometimes but it is a workout on the jaw. Smells good and taste great.

I've been chewing this on and off for about a year now. It's created a subtle but noticeable difference in my jawline...I am slightly more handsome now. On top of that, consistent with an article that I read about jaw muscle atrophy, my teeth line up better now than they did prior to chewing on this. Makes it much easier to eat. I spar every now and then and while I can still be rocked I still notice a significant firmness in my face that wasn't there before. If you're in it for any of those things then this is highly recommended. My only advice is to learn to discern what pieces you should and shouldn't chew on. It is not 100% consistent. The good ones feel like rocks and have no give. They will give your jaw a workout. Others feel like taffy or are somewhere in between and tend to stick to your teeth and become annoying instead of providing resistance. Don't get that variety on anything because it is very difficult to get off. Squeeze them and you will know right away. As for the gritty stuff just deal with it. Just spit about two times after you've chewed for a minute and that takes care of it. That is everything I have to say about this. I am not a medical professional and all of that stuff. These are just my observations.

Good stuff. Very nice to chew and it gives your jaw a real workout! I got this shipped to me about two and a half weeks or three weeks after ordering it. It smells kind of like some kind of roots that would be used in chinese medicine and tastes like it came from some kind of tree, which it did. 100 grams will almost fill (3/4) an 8oz mason jar. The texture is very gummy you can chew a normal size piece for about 6 hours until it disintegrates. Also some pieces are harder than other and also harder to chew. I chewed two large pieces of mastic for about 9 hours the first day i got it and i could feel my jaw was quite sore. Its somewhat addicting to chew so now after chewing it for three days straight it really hurts to chew food, but i may chew more again today. It also seems to have some effects on the digestive system as i had diharrhea the day i chewed two pretty large pieces until they disintegrated and then i swallowed them. The taste is pretty nice actually and the texture is very gummy, it's almost indistiguisgable from a gum you would buy at the store except its on the harder side. Overall, 5 stars! very nice and a very pleasurable experience to chew it. Im looking forward to seeing what else this gum can be used for as well!!!!Update:After chewing this stuff for two months I've used about half and I have also burned some as incense, which I would only recommend if you like the taste of this gum as it smells pretty much the same when burned. I have noticed that my jaw has gotten quite a bit stronger as I can chew through one normal size piece (about 1-2 sticks of standard gum) in about 4-7 hours without my jaw getting very tired. Also, I've noticed when shaving that it is harder to get around the edge of my jawline than before and when I clench my teeth I can also see the muscles in my face are more defined and protrude more. I think over all my face has gotten more of a square look to it but i actually think it's an improvement.

This is gum from a tree. It is all-natural. Do not expect manufactured quality control. To do that, the sellers would have to chew it or do something to test the stickiness of it. I, for one, do not want already-been-chewed gum. So remain calm if the texture varies from piece to piece. It's not the fault of the company. Life happens. To test the stickiness, break a small piece off from a piece and test it in your mouth. If it's too sticky, then don't put the whole piece in your mouth. The dried gum is quite brittle and easy to break. The taste is a mild, evergreen taste. It is noticeable at first and then fades with chewing. The gum lasts forever. It can be saved and re-chewed later. (It's your own germs, so no need to be squeamish.) The sticky pieces are very sticky. They can be removed from your teeth by pulling it off with your fingers. I found that the gum sticks more to the teeth on one side of my mouth than the other. I have no idea why. Maybe they could use some additional drying? Maybe leave the sticky pieces out in the sun? I don't know. I'll have to try that to see if it works.

Arrived in good time. Really natural good product. Seller is really human. Much better value than capsules or pills. Makes great gum if you like that. I buy it for its medicinal value, to soothe chronic stomach complaints; really works well, best I've ever bought. Smells fantastic. Ridiculous criticisms from buyers because of the natural fine dust that it is coated with. Sorry guys, this is not artificial! Thank you seller!

This is one of the best vendors for mastic gum. This is my second order. My last shipment was packaged from 1 year ago, as opposed to the first package I received; I would have liked to receive a more recent package. Regardless, this is a great product. I chew this on its own, combining some of the softer pieces with the hard ones. Mastic is great for stomach problems such as ulcers, acid re flux, or indigestion, and will not cause cavities. Mastic has been a favourite of generations in my family.
