BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition - Xbox 360

I'm a big gamer, have been playing since my Nintendo 64 back when I was a little kid. These two games are absolutely amazing, I could go on and on about unique, engaging, and amazing the game play, environment, story lines, characters, and other things are in the games. I'll combine both reviews, since both are very similar.What I loved:- Morality, this is what sets Bioshock apart from other shooters in my opinion, you have a choice when it comes to certain aspects, will you do what benefits your life but is so wrong, or will you be a savior doing what is right, but it makes it harder on you? What you do has big time effects on the whole game, so pick what you stand for. It really makes you think beyond mindlessly blasting away. It is emotionally gripping, heartbreaking, beautiful, and incredibly happy in just one instance.- The environment and the idea of an underwater utopia gone wrong is so freaking unique, I don't know where these people come up with this stuff! The steampunk-esque environment that has really started to fall apart is beautiful, you get a sense of what was, what is, and what is becoming of rapture.- The storyline is......heart breaking, emotionally charged, morally driven, and just incredible. The way it develops, the twists and turns, and the outcomes are incredible.- The gameplay is some of the funnest I've ever experienced. The thought of being able to shoot electricity, flames, insects, tornadoes, ect. out of your hands and they blast off someones head with a shotgun is SO FUN! Also, using an industrial strenght drill to dismember people in 2 is the most fun I've had destroying enemies in any game. It's an absolute blast.- It is very challenging at times, but doable. The most I got stuck on something was in 1 and it was for 2 days, but it is a very doable game on medium, pretty difficult on hard.- The characters, ESPECIALLY in 2, are so easy to love and hate in instances, they are truly memorable.- The music, I don't know what it is about 40s - 60s era music that makes games of this genre work like in Fallout, but it works so well and really adds to the atmosphere.- The atmosphere, all of that combined just makes for an absolutely incredible atmosphere that is addictive and unrelenting until you've beaten the game and found out what happened.What I hated:- Haha got you, nothing was note worthily bad.I give the original a 9.8 out of 10, and Bioshock 2 a 10 and is my new favorite game campaign, it almost had me in tears at time. Bioshock Infinite, here I come!

I dont usually write reviews.. butI have been wanting to buy the bioshock games for quite a while. Naturally, once I learned of this deal it was a no brainer. A normal Xbox game is $60, so getting one of them for &30 should be an awesome deal. But BOTH of them?! And both awesome games??Aside from this being a deal that anyone would be foolish to pass on, these games themselves are awesome. They are so unique and they really just draw you in and absorb you. As soon as you take that submarine down into the underworld dystopian world of rapture you will be surrounded by the 40's Art Deco style and music. There is such great attention to detail here-- and the voice acting is phenomenal... Way higher quality than one would expect out of a video game.This review is a little bit premature as I have not even finished the first game as of yet, but the story is awesome and very well developed. There are plenty of twists and things to keep you in. I found myself playing this game for hours at a time. The scary factor of this game is also awesome (try playing in a pitch black room late at night with the sound up!!)Gameplay is fun but very unique and it takes a while to get the hang of. The plasmids are a very cool innovation and the combat is easy to get the hang of if you've played shooters. Things like weapon and plasmid upgrades, buildables, tonics, etc. keep the game fresh and interesting. I personally enjoy digging through every nook and cranny of rapture to make sure I don't miss out on any items!All of this can be wrapped up into saying that these are great games that really revolutionized video games back in 2007 as opposed to simply being evolutionary. There is so much detail put into this game and it will suck you right in to the incredible world of rapture. Go out there and buy this on amazon ASAP!!

Bought this for the XBOX One since the 360 edition copy started working in it as of December 2016. Works perfectly! No issues! Takes a little time to install, but worth the wait. I've never played the Bioshock games before, which makes the visual graphics porting to XBOX One all the more exciting. This game permits you to adjust the brightness and add extra creep factor to it when you've limited your ability to see very far in the game by overdoing the shading aspects. Love the dialog of the game so far. As a first time XBOX gamer, I can admit the ability to adjust my game difficulty is a perk as I'm working to learn how to use the controls for aiming and traveling through the game unhindered (beyond the occasional Splicer).

Bioshock is a solid game, it has an interesting storyline, fun gameplay, and a very satisfying payoff. It's not a short game at all, and takes a lot of time to complete, which is a good thing. Although I would say a con to Bioshock would be the gun system, as I don't find it the best first person shooter ever, but the variety of weapons and attack methods are there. The villains who attack you also become repetitive after a few hours, but that's just part of the game. Bioshock consumes the player and is a must play (although I will say, over-hyped a bit). Bioshock has a rich and deep world you can choose to explore or not, the choice is up to you.Bioshock 2 is really just more of the same of Bioshock, which is why I was kind of disappointed by it. After I finished Bioshock, I was so pumped up from playing it, I immediately decided to jump into Bioshock 2. Big mistake. I was looking for an expansion on the original, but all I got was the exact same thing. Now, I'm not saying it was a bad game, I'm just saying the second Bioshock doesn't really do anything different than the first one. I just expected some difference, other than a story change.Bioshock and Bioshock 2 offer a lot of gameplay time, and lots of fun. Overall, almost no replay value at all, but nevertheless, still a lot of fun. Bioshock is a great game, and Bioshock 2 is good as well, just disappointing as it doesn't build on its predecessor.

This game is amazing because there's no other game like this the game is set in a dark alternative past set in a underwater city known as RAPTURE were rich and famous live out there final day's and in the game everything is trying to kill you it's very tense and with the addition of the dlc content for both games it's like the cherry on top of the cake everyone should play this game.
