Cotton socks: I can feel the cold floor, but they block the cold air on my feet.These socks: They do a great job of blocking the radiant cold from the floor, but the cold air goes right through the holes in the knit. They're super comfy in shoes, or if you wear a pair of thin cotton socks underneath, but they aren't warm enough to wear around the house by themselves.I will continue my quest for socks that don't leave my toes cold.

I have been purchasing some wool items to help with constantly feeling cold, especially in hands and feet. These socks are the warmest I have ever owned and I am amazed at how warm my feet stay. Be aware that they run very tight at first. I have small feet, size 6 women's, and they were very tight at first but loosened up after wearing for a bit. I'm not sure how they would fit a larger foot. As the listing states, these are ankle socks. Shipping was very fast and I received these sooner than anticipated. The seller responded quickly to my question about washing. I hand washed them as instructed and laid flat on a thick towel to dry, then when mostly dry I hung them to finish. I am very happy with my purchase and will likely buy more in the future.

Great wool socks! They’re not too thick or too thin, or itchy at all. They’re very comfortable. I love using them with my athletic shoes to work out. They don’t slip down into my shoes. Wool is the best for breathability, hot or cold, and these did not disappoint. I also wear them to walk around the house on my wood floors. They’re easy to wash and let dry, and they soften with each use. I bought them in black and ivory (white?), and I love them. Would buy again.

I had bought my first pair of this in Spring and was very impressed with the quality. But, my second order is very disappointing. The socks are bigger in size and too loose. The quality of the fabric is still spot-on, but the poor fit makes it of no good use. And, since I have already used one pair, I cannot now return it.

This is my 2nd order of these socks. Well, the first order was the natural cream color, this time the black pair. They fit amazing (I wear a size 8.5 - 9) I've washed the cream colored ones and they still maintain a great quality of its material. There hasn't been a tear, a hole, a loose yarn....LOVE THEM! They are perfect for wearing with my shoes or just sock feet!
