MUST BUY
Amzing! I literally read all the reviews before I bought this. Knowing I have a 30 gallon tank and the platform is big. I still bought it and I love it, yes it is big but my turtles still have plenty of room. very durable floats well, easy to assemble, suction works great, my turtles love it and look like they are comfortable up there, it functions the way its suppose to and does not sink. Definatly worth my money.

Nice size for growing turtle
It's definitely worth the money; but not overly pleased with the suction cups, and the ramp consistently detached from the basking platform. Finally applied aquarium glue on it to hopefully correct the issue.Bought it and used in a 20 gallon tank. It fit (very snuggly), but I decided to downsize to something smaller because it consumed the tank. But it left the floor open for my girl to move about. I've move it up to a 55 gallon now, and it still dominates the tank, but looks nice and is better suited because of my little girls growth spurt.

Nice idea just not strong enough
I have an African Sideneck turtle. She is 6 inches long. The basking area is large enough for her but the suction cups are not strong enough to hold when she climbs up the ramp. The ramp crashes down every time.

Perfect for my fire bellied toads tank set-up
I looked around everywhere (it felt like) for a good and sturdy set up for my fire bellied toad tank. I found the foam-floating turtle docks, which felt like they may fall apart. The magnetic turtle docks, which I did accidentally drop one in the pet store and it chipped/broke! (oops) I finally found this gem online - and it is PERFECT!This product is really easy to set up (my 8 year old put it together for me), and provides a sturdy feeding/lounging dock for my fire-bellied toads. I have it in a 20-gallon-long aquarium, which the dimensions are 30" x 12" x 12". You need at least this size of tank for this prodcut. I uploaded a picture so you can see what it looks like. It fits perfectly, with just a tiny bit of room along the 3 sides of this aquarium - it is snug, but doesn't actually rub up or touch against the sides. When in place, it takes up about 60% of the surface of the water, which is exactly what I was looking for, but still provides swimming area for the frogs underneath the dock and on the other side of the tank. I combined this product with a Tetra Decorative Reptile Filter for Aquariums up to 55 Gallons(available on Amazon and way cheaper than what I paid at the local pet store) which is a filter and beautiful waterfall feature, a background cling, a screen top for the 20-gallon-long aquarium, a few dollar-store bags of river rocks for the bottom (you don't want anything that the toads can accidentally injest), a cheap plastic plant, a rather heavy rock/hide on the turtle-pier (along with some of the river rocks) for extra space to hide and decoration (the pier is still completely sturdy under this weight), and a couple of philodendron starts given to me by a co-worker. I think it is a pretty great set-up.This product comes with extenders for the suction-cup columns that keep it in place, so if you have a taller/higher tank, you can make the pier float higher. They are included in the package. Mine is shown with the shorter columns - and they come up right to the screen-top I have on the aquarium. The screen touches them, but they are not pushing up the screen as to allow the frogs to escape.

Not suitable for 20 gallons or below!
I got this for my girl Aspen as she kept using her old dock to get out. I misjudged just how big this dock is 😅 I will have to get a bigger tank soon. It's not perfect, but I got it set up so she can use it without much issue. I bought a small storage bin, and cut out the bottom and one side, and then took a cooking grate and tied it all together with the dock so that she has her above tank dock, and I'm not constantly searching for a turtle! 😂

Don't expect much & be ready to return it
REVIEWED: Penn-Plax Reptology Floating Turtle Pier and Basking Platform – Large Size (Model Number: REP603).WTF did they not mention there are no floatation materials on this device, no foam or closed off air tubes? It (hopefully) sits on top of the water because the areas underneath (hopefully) trapped some air. But as turtle mounts it tips the air out of the channels undeneath, and pretty soon the platform is awash. Problem: the top surface stays wet because it does not really float on top of the water. I wanted a basking platform, not afe bathing platform! A place where the turtle could bask under his UV lamp and stay dry for awhile, it's not good for him to be soaking wet all the time. Also, the four posts look like they screw, to make the top have a screw-adjustable height, but they do not work like that. Heck, the ends of the extension posts that should fit into the socket of the post below are too thick, so they do not fit together. I suppose I could shave or sand them down to fit, but that is stupid extra work. Also, the ramp is not sturdy, and does not attach well to the platform. It wiggles so much it scared the turtle away.I am very sorry I let the return time slip away, because this is like throwing money away. It it ever becomes useful it will be because I built something else and use parts of this in the construction, otherwise, off it goes into the garage sale. Very disappointed in myself for not returning this right away. Also, I have the large size floating basking platform from another manufacturer that worked OK until Turtle grew too big. I'll get some floating foam insulation sheeting and make that one bigger, and get rid of this POS.

Awesome product!
Wasn’t sure about the price. Our aquatic turtles love it and use it all the time. Accurate description. Good value for the money. Fits perfectly in 70 gallon tank andLeaves swimming room. Easy to assemble. Good quality and no missing parts. Will buy again for our other tank.
