Good item to have at home
Been recommended to buy something like this as suffering with chest infections and nasty cough. This definitely makes the suffering easier, though it doesn’t cure it. I’d say the pads are a bit pricey for that they don’t last long, having to change every 8 hours at the max. so if using long term you’d go through them quickly. The inhaler is very easy to set up and there is clear guide book included on how to set up and how to use it. Unit has to be plugged in while in use so need to make sure you have flat surface near an outlet socket (as the unit shouldn’t be handheld or placed at an angle during use). You can also adjust intensity of the steam which is very easy to do with one button. Overall good product, I would recommend it, specially that it can be used as much as one needs instead of taking useless meds.

waste of money
I wanted something that was like good old fashion steaming over a bowl. Absolute rubbish, our tap water is very hot, by the time you fill it up and add the vapour reseal and sit to use, nothing, no steam at all. so i decided to do it the old way, back to the bowl and towel. Total waste of money, I only got it because it was Vicks, so assumed it would be good.

Really good, I recommend esp for phlegm..
If you suffer from post nasal drip, this is a "must have product" the steam will bring up most of the phlegm from your throat. Add some menthol or peppermint oil.The only issue is that you will need to keep topping it up with water because the water storage is so small. Otherwise it's really good.

Stays hot, be careful, not very powerful
Followed instructions - only needs 2.5 tablespoons of water in it. Took ages to heat up, so I thought I had a faulty product. Suddenly, it started to produce some steam, but nothing of any real power. You can adjust the steam with a very basic hand control, but it does feel very cheaply made for the price. I had a struggle to fit the face guard as well, it was as if it was not made for the machine. I received 2 Vick pads/filters to insert into a drawer, but they didn't seem strong enough and I would probably benefit more from using a hot bowl and a towel over my head. Make sure that you leave it unplugged for a good while before emptying after use as it remains very hot - as I found out. It's ok for occasional use, but not for very heavy congestion.

Not Fit for Purpose
This item cannot be used with boiling water. In fact, it is not designed to be used for steam inhalation at all. The item is to be filled with warm water, and a tablet thrown into the water. The tablet then dissolves and gives off vapours which you can inhale through the not-very-well-fitting face mask. Unfortunately, you are therefore stuck with the Vicks tablets, which to my knowledge to date include exactly one combination, Rosemary & Lavender, neither of which to my knowledge is any good in treating colds. Also, the amount of vapour given off is not even remotely enough to have any real impact on the thick mucus built up by colds and coughs. At best this is some toy to help you relax. If you are like me, you will instantly think: "Well, what keeps me from using it with steam...?" The answer is simple: The unit is too small, so cools down very quickly. Also the air hole is way too small, and does not allow any reasonable amount of steam through.

Very lightweight
This steamer works very well you can vary the amount of steam .it’s very easy to use . Fitting the Vicks pad was a bit tricky (just push it’ll fit). The only fault was it’s very easy to catch the power button and turn it off. But that wouldn’t be a problem if sat at a table.
