Mega Bloks Beach House

From the picture of the box I thought the people would be larger, they are tiny. One purchase that I sort of regret. Will stick with Legos.

It has been 8 years since I last bought Mega Bloks and I wish I had remembered how little I like the brand compare to Lego. This Christmas we bought this pack and a couple of add ons and also the Lego Stables. We first assembled the Lego stables and my daughter then began playing while we put together the Barbie house. The difference in kits was immediately made known, Mega Bloks still creates too shallow of grooves for the pieces to remain together. The trees wouldn't stay together and wouldn't stay on the playset. The upper story's floor is not secured on the playset so it constantly falls out, the whole set fell apart within minutes of playing. In the meantime, it is now 2 and a half weeks later, the components of the stables are still intact, my daughter is still playing with it on a daily basis, and the Barbie beach house is laying around in total pieces. I rated this a one star to off set the poor ratings that were given with a four star. I would give it a 2 star for cuteness, but since the joy of the playsets is to actually build and then play, in all fairness I cannot go higher. I wish Mega Bloks creators would realize what a difference a couple of millimeters in depth could do in ensuring a successful experience for the children who are using their items. If you want long term play, go with the Lego Friends.

I loved the idea of this my daughter loves barbie and building...what could go wrong.... Its very small....it comes in lots and lots of tiny pieces, ok fair enough it is a blox house but...BUT when you start to build it the real frustration begins it is not lego quality it comes apart if you even try to move it a little, it is pretty but my girls gave up trying to assemble it on about the 50th attempt in order for me not to have totally wasted my money on this and all the other mega bloks we got her (and yes we got her a lot of the set) i am going to try to glue the main sections together as i build them see if that at least can make it playable, it kind of spoils the whole imagination building idea of it but at least it wont be a total waste.

I rarely do a negative review, but I really feel like this product is not up to par. First of all, the ages on this product say 4 years and up. What? Have the ever met a four year old? There is no way that the majority of four year olds can have the small motor development to use the tiny pieces that come with this toy set. There are several pieces who are literally small than the fingernail on my pinky finger. Not to mention, this microscopic pieces are going to be lost within seconds. I would say this toy is geared more towards older kids, at least 8 years old or older. I don't know how well the Barbie theme transfers to older girls, but maybe they are still into them at that age. I expected larger pieces that young kids could actually manipulate and ended up with microscopic toys that will either be eaten or lost within seconds.

I love it! The toy works great. The disco ball bumps into the doll's head if they're standing on the dancing stand on the 1st floor so I out my ball above the bed or anywere on the 2nd floor. The toy is great for dance parties for your dolls and can fit up to 8 dolls on the dance stand w/ 3 of them dancing. The iPod speaker makes a great place for a DJ doll and they can chill out in the hot tub. For mine, I added a garage, car, garden, dogs, roof table and chairs, soda machines, and theatre. The palm tree is not sturdy like Lego palm trees but Its a great piece of doll property for any party your doll's can think of! Great buy!

I bought this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. There were a lot of little pieces to put together. You have to put the stickers on the pieces too which was hard to do. The toy itself- once its together with the stickers on- she enjoyed playing with.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. Although she was excited about playing with the Barbie Mega Blocks, it was quite difficult for her to assemble. After I assembled it for her, it was not durable enough for her to play long hours. It continued to fall apart and had to be reconstructed. The circles that attach and hold the pieces together are too shallow. Also, the Barbies' hair keeps falling off which is pretty creepy. She continues to try to play with it since she loves Barbie. I would look into Lego products. Mega Blocks was a rookie mistake.

The box says ages 4 and up. I doubt many 4 year olds could follow the directions and assemble it. Tiny pieces. Overall, not what I expected. The picture on the box is larger than the actual product fully assembled.

Commande livrée dans les délais prévus. Je l'ai eu sur Amazon a un tarif bien moins cher que dans le commerce. Ma fille de 6 ans l'apprécie beaucoup. C'est dans le même style que les LEGO friends mais il y a moins de pièces à monter et c'est moins cher. Et en plus, il y a Barbie. Les poupées sont bien faites et peuvent avoir plusieurs accessoires. Je conseille cet article.

sent this as a gift. From the feedback I received, kids loved it and started playing with it immediately. the only issue, the dolls were seemed small and its not as large as we thought it would be...infact..I hear its quite small..
