My Alibi is in Ashes? Well how am I supposed to find it?!?!
Welcome to the review of the Special 25th Edition of the Nancy Drew series, Alibi in Ashes! This mystery was very intriguing and fun as you get to explore all over town as Nancy, Bess, George, and Ned. Of course since Nancy is in jail, you won't explore town very much with her, though! :) At the beginning of the mystery, you follow a clue to the old town hall, and while you're inside, it catches on fire. Once you find your way out, you are blamed for the fire and interrogated and arrested. (Yes, you do go to jail). During the game, you solve puzzles, locate items and places to go, change characters, and explore Nancy's house. One thing I liked about this game was that you get to explore Nancy's house and room, and change characters. I have always wanted to see how my favorite detective lives, and now with this mystery, I can. One thing I didn't like about this game was that it wasn't all that fun to play. There wasn't the biggest plot to it as I would have liked. I wanted more of a twisty turny game as to who the culprit is. At the end of the game you have to find your way out of a tunnel and report the culprit to the police. After the real culprit gets arrested, all is well and everyone forgives you for your supposed crime. Overall, I liked this game a lot, but I thought it could have a bit of more surprise as to who the culprit is. I would have preferred a more twisted ending. It was a great edition to the Nancy Drew series! Thanks for reading my review of Alibi in Ashes, My Alibi is in Ashes? Well how am I supposed to find it?!?! Be sure to check out my other reviews! Thanks!

Great addition to the Nancy Drew series from a long time fan!
I'm not sure what all the negative feedback is for this game. I've played the Nancy Drew games since the first one came out years ago, and although I've had a few that I wasn't as impressed with, this was not one of those. Granted, it's not not one of the best, but I was very happy with it overall. It had a good plot which was completely different than the previous games; it was interesting and nothing about it was tedious. There were a few minor things that could have used improvement, but none of these were major and are just little "heads ups" to the designers to fix in future games:More puzzles would have been greatMore places to explore... it just didn't seem like quite enough. This seems like a common theme with the newer ones... the designers REALLY need to go back to the "Curse of Blackmoor Manor" era and REALLY work on the detailing of their games, the newer ones are just a bit less complicated and less interesting and puzzling because of that.Less controversial characters - not sure what the deal is, but there seems to be more and more girlfriend/boyfriend and clicky school stuff; more snotty and nasty suspects overall. In fact, in this one, all the characters had serious flaws. Most people probably don't care about this, but we play this as a family, from the two adults in the household, to the 9 year old, down to the 3 year old! (they LOVE them!), so it would be great if we could get back to the more basic characters and not get to know in detail such complicated (in a bad way) ones. But in spite of these minor flaws, the game was excellent and would definitely go on my 5 star list of Nancy Drew games. I disagree with the other reviewers that these very minor issues knock down the game to such low ratings... I really don't know WHY they are complaining so much! Another excellent addition to the series!

One my daughter had to have, tho not her fav
Another Christmas purchase for my daughter (don't ask me how many we own but it seems likes there is an awful lot of Nancy Drew icons on our computer desk top). It didn't take her long to puzzle it out as I understand she has already completed it something like a week ago today (1/14/2015) and she did admit to it not being one of her favorites. Bottom line - for what was paid ($10) and seeing her have some fun (and sometimes frustrating) moment with the game I would say it was a worthwhile buy.

Gaming with Nancy
My Family and I have played Nancy Drew games for years. This is the first time we have played one where you alternate between characters. IT was challenging, fun and i'm glad we took a chance and bought this game- it's a good way to have family time, every one has their opinion and stops to try and figure out the challenge or puzzle at hand even though we are all busy.

Alibi in Ashes... One of Her Interactive's BEST yet!!
This game was fantastic! It had plenty of suspects, loads of things to do, many locations, and several people to talk to. It moved along very well, and had suspense and an interesting story line. Myself and three of my children absolutely loved this one. It's one of the best ones yet! We love the challenge of puzzles within the games, and sure, this one didn't have many, but the overall game play, graphics, and storyline more than made up for that. This one was awesome!

Another Good Game
Have waited for this game for quite a while. Not disappointed when I received it. Not as much to do as in some of the other games - but I like the fact that the cars are 'driven' for you - all you have to do is click on a destination! Earlier games you have to control the car with your mouse - personally I am not very good at that. These games are suitable for all ages - they make you use your brain and if you get stuck clues can be obtained on line. Can't wait for the next games! Pity we have to wait so long from the games being launched in the USA to them being available for sale in the UK.
