I am old enough to know that you get what you pay for and I am tired of make-do things. I wanted a set that looked good enough that I can hand down to my grandchildren and that is what I got. I am more than pleased with this set. They feel good in my hands and they look good on the board.

They're nicely made and the knights truly are well crafted. I do feel they're a bit overpriced just the same. I am happy with them though.

This was a great purchase. Delivery took a bit of time, but when I opened the box, each piece was individually wrapped, and the larger pieces had additional wrapping to protect during shipment. I have a chess board with a drawer, so I do not need a sturdy box for the pieces, and this set came with a cloth pouch that do wonderfully as the base of my chess board drawer.I am really impressed by the quality. I had purchased another set, larger in size, but the pieces came dinged up and not visibly worth the money spent. This set has great detail, and as a non-pro player, I am very happy with the quality. Each piece has secure green felt on the base, and no pieces had felt coming off.

It's a very nice chess set for the price, and I'm very pleased with it.Some of the reviews have noted shipping delays, and mine didn't arrive at the scheduled time. I wasn't too surprised, since they ship from India. But on inquiring I received a detailed explanation and a new tracking number, and further questions were answered personally and promptly. And yes there was a final delay due to the deep freeze in Fed Ex's national hub in Memphis. But they got here safely.

heavy, well crafted, and solid. i would highly recommend this set to anyone, and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. nothing is close in this price range. fantastic!

This set was worth the money, and the couple of extra days of shipping. Just the right size, and so very nicely weighted. Comes with the two extra queens, and a nice little carrying bag. The workmanship is very nice, and the ebony just feels so good in the hand. I make my own chessboards, and these look just exquisite in place. Now...if I can just get my cat to make the first move, and stop PAW'n around.Highly recommend these!

I was pleased beyond any expectation --- this is a beautiful set of chess pieces. The knights are nicely done, and included is an extra pair of queens.

No regrets over this order. The quality of the pieces was stunning - and I'm picky!!!!
