Clorox Pool&Spa 80000CLX My Salt Pool Saltwater Test Strips

These came quickly & are very easy to use & read!!!

The Salt test trips are highly inaccurate. They under reported salt repeatedly. I purchased bags and bags of Clorox salt to get the salt levels up, and that caused my salt pool system to stop working at all, resulting in my pool chemicals substantially imbalanced. So then the other test strips show low chlorine and recommend buying Clorox Chlorine shocker. I bought bottles and bottles of that, but that would not get the chlorine up. I finally had the water professionally tested, and learned that the Pool salt was many times the proper level. I had to drain half the pool water, and refill to get the salt level up. The chemical test strips are also inaccurate, and work poorly with the IPhone App. When testing, the App tells you that the strips are overexposed - which requires using multiple strips per test to finally get a reading. The IPhone app then recommends adding various Clorox Pool products to get the readings right, but with the salt out of whack, and the stips inaccurate and getting false readings on the IPhone app, you end up buying and adding chemicals that may or may not be necessary. I would stay away from these test strips and have the pool water professionally tested. Absolutely do not rely upon the salt water test strips.

These strips and the Clorox iphone app have kept my pool water clear For 2 years in a row. When you enter the strip colors in the app it tells you exactly how much of and what chemicals to add. I bought a liquid test kit to compare results and they both read exactly the same . Will use these strips as long as I own my pool.

Salt test inaccurate. Have Intellichlor chlorinator. Green light on on unit showing salt @ least 3200 ppm; test strip showed less than 1000ppm.

These give accurate reading for a saltwater pool.

DOnt waste your money. the salt strips are useless. the test strips barely registered and the water sample taken to the pool store read 38k. The chem strips work fine but but you can buy those separately at less cost.
