It's not the GOAT, it's better - it's the Ram's Head!
Absolute winner of a pedal. I love the creamy sustain it can provide, but a rougher sound can also be dialled in - and it doesn't take up much room on the pedalboard.

A most important re-issue of a classic stomp box
Being an electric guitarist with over 50 years in the game,I bought the original model Big Muff back in the 1970's,and used it happily for a number of years.Recently catching a YouTube demo of this re-issue,I placed this order the following day,and am completely bowled over and blown away with this little beauty.Lots of tonal variation and plenty on the distortion feature to play with here, and even though it sounds good put through an amp on a clean setting, which I tried first,I then employed the services of my PODxt,another classic of the world of the twang, only one patch as it was getting late for noisy guitar stuff, the 'Satch Boogie'tone -aficionados of Joe Satriani will know this well - and I knew I had struck gold. This is the sort of tone I have always dreamed of having, and with the 64 patches on the POD,from clean to insane distortion to vary the palette, the choice of combinations would appear to be,if not limitless,so close it would make little difference to any serious lover of rock guitar tonalities. The founder of Electroharmonix,Mike Matthews,is an electronics wizard inventor - I already have the Micro Synth and the Slammi pedal to fool around with, and this linked with either or both means a real good time ahead, and will provide a significant impetus for a new learning curve in my playing, that is,learning some new moves in jazz fusion. To name two other virtuoso's of the guitar world,Allan Holdsworth and Frank Gambale,I have to say the Rams Head is gonna get as close to their brilliant tones as anything out there can,and I cannot praise this unit too highly. At less than a hundred quid, this is amazing value for money, and will delight the heart of any electric guitar player.Absolutely SPLENDID!

Replicated sound, small size, large volume
Amazing sounding reissue of the very elusive V2 Big Muff. Tone separation is clean and it is loud, which is exactly what I wanted from this. Having owned the USA Big Muff and the Sovtek Russian Big Muff previously and built my own clone of the Ram's Head, having this has finally solved a litany of issues I had with the aforementioned versions. Only thing I await now is EHX to release the Civil War Big Muff reissue that is the same size as this one and I'm done here, friends.

Ram's Head Big Muff
I have tried quite a few of the Big Muff pedals over the years the Triangle reissue is very good , but this one The Ram's head is better it has a lot more sustain and its louder too , if you are looking for the Dave Gilmour sound of Pink Floyd this pedal does it perfectly .I can highly recommend this pedal.A☆☆☆☆☆

At last, the sound in my head
I have a box full of pedals that I've bought that I hoped would reproduce the tone I have been searching for. I need driving sustain but still with clear string definition for my humbuckers, which tend towards the darker tones. I've been through blues overdrives, tube screamers, compressors and a few others but with this baby everything clicked into place. Pair it with a delay and you have Dave Gilmour sitting on your pedalboard and at really good price as well. Excellent classic pedal for that 70s vibe
