THE BEST BLENDER EVER
This is the best blender ever. I did alot of research before purchasing this 900watt and there is a major upgrade in performance in every way with the 900 versus the lower watts even the 700. It's a little loud but quieter than a 250watt I had previously tried using. You litterally throw torn up kale, frozen blueberries and any powdered supplements into the blender cup and fill to the line with liquid and I literally pulse it a couple times and I have the smoothest blend EVER. I used to work in all natural raw juice and smoothie bar and this is SO MUCH BETTER than even the blenders we used all day for the smoothies. I prefer those hardcore blenders for grinding flour not making a blended drink. This 900watt ninja is litterally the absolute best. So easy and all this wonderfulness for such a reasonable investment for the price, I honestly feel any more watt/price would be unnecessary. I'm so thankful and happy! Makes your life so easy to be healthy! Can also puree up easy easy homemade raw baby food also so easy to use!

Reliability
I don't typically leave reviews until I have used the product repeatedly. Well, here we are nearly 5 years latter and this is running like a champ still! I have had to purchase new cups as my kids used a scrub brush not meant for plastic and it started getting cloudy so I was concerned foodstuff was getting in the scratches. That being said, I use this for more than I originally planned. I lost my immersion blender's mini food processor attachment so I blended nuts, coffee, dog food mixes/treats for my 8 Labradors, you name it. Even eggshells for my chickens! Cannot go wrong with this product.

* UPDATE * EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and strong little blender
I ordered this Ninja blender on June 14th. On July 30th the rubber seal in the blade base came out and was lost. It was past the return window on Amazon.com. I couldn't find the seal to purchase separately & all non-OEM seals had poor ratings. I called Ninja customer service (easily found their phone number on their website ninjakitchen.com, unlike many manufacturers that make that step cumbersome) and they are sending me out a replacement part right away, to arrive in 2-3 business days, no charge, no questions, no hassle. I just wanted a replacement rubber seal which would have been inexpensive. They can't pull that from stock so have to send me an entire blade base replacement. Excellent customer service & product support is so rare these days I wanted to add this to my review. For years I had the NutriBullet and swore by it. After years of good use, I finally had to replace it at the beginning of the year (actually had back-to-back defective NutriBullets when trying to replace it). The base didn't seal all the way, must have been defective. I tried contacting the company by e-mail, through their website, through Amazon.com, by phone, several times to tell them I was a long-time loyal customer, but received a defective NutriBullet this time. I was unable to get through to anyone and nobody responded to my requests. I thought market share and product loyalty was important to companies. I reluctantly switched to this Ninja blender. It's a beast and does a great job with more watts than the NutriBullet. The only drawback is you have to hold the Ninja blender down while blending, versus the NutriBullet where you can push down, turn it, and let go while it blends, which is a nice feature. Maybe it's part of the NutriBullet patent and Ninja can't offer that feature. Given my experience just now on the phone to Ninja Kitchen customer service, however, I will be taking my future business to them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This does a great job. Unlike the N.B. brand, this one you have to hold down continuously while it's blending. There's no lock-in-place feature so you can let go. I used to be able to use a N.B. for years. My last two broke down within months of purchase & company did not respond to requests, so decided it was time to switch to something else. I do miss the lock-in-place feature, but this is more powerful, very easy to clean (I just rinse in water and put in the dish rack to dry b/c I use it so often), and has done a great job so far. I've only had it a few days, though. If anything changes, I'll add a comment.

Dental floss and oregano oil
I've been using this personal blender for several months, and I use it at least 4 or 5 times per week. Very highly recommend!! There are just a few things you need to know before purchasing, so you get the most out of your blender! I spent such a long time researching blenders just like this, and some of the reviews got me nervous. I'm so glad I took a chance on this powerful little guy, it has exceeded expectations! It blends quickly and thoroughly, just as one would come to expect from Ninja. I've been using my Ninja 1100-watt large blender for years - LOVE it! I even blend split pea soup in it, but the small 900-watt has been a game changer for protein shakes after my workouts (it would be super impractical to use my big blender every day like that). Other reviewers mentioned how loud the unit is and how it's difficult to clean because of the silicone gasket, which starts to smell horrid after just a few uses even after being cleaned. As for the sound, it is a *little* bit loud, but it's really not that bad - you kind of have to expect some level of loudness due to the wattage and size. As for the smell issue - it's true, I experienced it firsthand even after scrubbing it down with soap by hand, running everything through the dishwasher multiple times, and nothing would get rid of the smell. I managed to weasel the silicone gasket out (no small feat! You need something extremely sturdy and extremely thin to get it out), and it was super gross - I felt dumb for not realizing before that duh of course I'd need to remove it to clean it. I scrubbed and scrubbed, and soap just wasn't strong enough to get rid of the smell - I was about to give up on this thing and send it back, if my last idea didn't work...lo and behold, I *finally* got rid of the smell!! I soaked the whole gasket in a 50/50 hot water/oregano oil solution for about an hour then thoroughly washed it by hand several times, and the smell has never returned BECAUSE I followed the advice of a gentleman reviewer to use dental floss to loop around the gasket before you put it back into the deep crevice (I salute you, sir!). So now I can pull the gasket out incredibly easily after every single use to clean it! You just need to make sure you grip the floss when twisting the blade on and off (as shown in the photos). I took 1 star off for that and the fact that the drinking tops are quite easy to unintentionally over-tighten and extremely difficult to get off after you've done so, especially when wet. I wouldn't recommend this for someone with arthritis. My favorite go-to smoothie recipe: 1 cup frozen strawberries (or dark cherries or peaches or whatever fruits you like) 1.5 cups unsweetened plain almond/cashew protein milk 1 scoop Ancient Nutrition salted caramel protein powder Several thin slices of fresh ginger (about 2g) A dash of cinnamon and nutmeg Delicious and super healthy!!! I truly never get tired of this recipe.

Fantastic blender!
The Nutri Ninja Pro is amazing. Here are the pros and cons. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. PROS: It is SO easy to clean. The old blender (I think it was called Osterizer?) we owned had a failing engine and was incredibly hard to clean. In comparison, the Ninja CLEANS ITSELF. BEST BLENDER EVER!!! Personalized smoothies and sip-and-seal cups: the old blender had a huge container which was heavy, hard to pour from (smoothie kept on pouring over the edge), and you couldn't drink from it. If you tried, it would be clumsy and hilarious. With the Nutri Ninja, you can drink directly from the small sip-and-seal cup (jar?) you blended it in. Everyone can make their own smoothie, instead of making a huge barrel for everyone. And it has a well-sealed cap so you can store your smoothie or take it 'on the go' without too much rotting (-:. 900 Watts! The old blender took longer to blend and had just 450 Watts max. This 900 watt Ninja finishes attacking the food far quicker. Looks cool: the old blender looked ugly. The Nutritious Ninja looks great and professional. Recipe book: the old blender didn't have a recipe book. The Ninja recipe book has great pictures, and is good for inspiration. Replacement parts. The old blender- I have no idea whether it was easy to find replacement parts for da olden blender, but it is easy to find parts for the Ninja, such as blades and cups. Not too many cons. The old blender had tons of cons. The Nutri Ninja Pro has very few cons. CONS: Grindy noise: the new Ninja makes a grindy, slightly annoying, loudish noise while blending. I guess it's to be expected of 900 WATTS!!! Plastic: the new Ninja's cups are made out of plastic. It's supposedly BPA-free, but possibly glass could be better. Still, it's probably so it doesn't crack. The old blender had a cup that was made out of glass, and started to crack when we got this fantastic blender. BTW, there are optional stainless steel cups you can buy, but those aren't clear, so you can't see your juice blending, if you blend with that cup, which is a definite con. The new Ninja is at least ten times better than the old one. The old blender is JUNK! Fantastic blender!

Blends Finely and Quickly! Easy to Use!
This is my first time getting a personal blender and I'm very happy with my purchase. It blends so quick and so well. Perfect for my smoothies and protein shakes. My trouble with other blenders in the past is that whenever I use the "Ice Crush" mode it blends only whatever's on the bottom and I have to stop between blends to push the rest of the content at the top down. I was skeptical on how well this blender could crush ice, but I put regular-sized ice from my ice tray and it crushes them within seconds of blending. The blades are also quite thick so I think that helps. I don't think I've had to blend for longer than 15 seconds so far. My only problem is that it sounds quite loud, but the quickness of the blender makes up for it, so it's only loud for like 10 seconds. It also doesn't fit as much as a regular blender, but it's great for personal use and super easy to use.

Well worth the money for a quality blender
I've had this for a couple months now and absolutely love it. While it can be used as a blender for other things such as sauces, I use it exclusively for smoothies. Anything I put into it - ice, frozen fruit, etc, take mere seconds to fully blend into a smoothie with no lumps or missed fruit chunks. I also love how it comes with two size cups - a 24oz cup I use when having a smoothie as a meal, and an 18oz cup I use if not that hungry, or making more of a dessert smoothie. The model I purchased (BL456) also comes with a "Nutri Ninja Guide to Nutritional Goodness" that contains 75 recipes for various things such as Smoothies, Sauces, Infused Teas, Soups, and Juices. The book has a retail value of $19.99. Personally, I wasn't terribly interested in it as I only use it for smoothies and many of the smoothie recipes called for ingredients I would never buy, but others may find it more useful. Whoever also made the book also must really love almond milk because it seemed like all of the smoothie recipes called for it, and I hate almond milk. Pros: - Heavy Duty - Takes mere seconds to fully blend anything I put in it - Two cup sizes - Easy to clean Cons: - Didn't find the recipe book that came with it useful (though it may be useful for those who want it for more than just smoothies, and like almond milk) - It's loud Overall, well worth the money for a quality blender.
