Ryobi 6 in. Bench Grinder BG612GSB

Good cheap grinder, used it some but not a bunch. Works great now. 3 years from now?? Will see

Strong motor that is able to take a beating. Had a few issues but spoke with Leo and he was able to make things right. Looking forward to years of service with this grinder.

Arrived on time no issues with that but the packaging was lacking. It was packed in the original box loose by itself inside of another box for shipping due to that it was damaged more in transit. Over all I am happy with it. It works fine just surprised that the discription was way off stating that the only thing wrong with it was that one of the lights that sit over the wheels didnt work. I put batterys in them and they both work fine. I will post some pics if I can figure out how.

You would think a brand name tool like Ryobi would at least be of usable quality but this is some real Harbor Freight shenanigans. It is incredibly out of balance to the point you have to hold it down by hand to keep it from vibrating right off the table. I tried to balance it and even bought a dressing tool to help get the stone in round but its honestly just a piece of junk. The cherry on top is that it was missing the special screws needed to hold the support plates on. Spare yourself a headache and buy something better.

The media could not be loaded.  It’s solid. I have a lot of Ryobi tools and was in the market for a bench grinder. My OCD pushes me to stay uniform so I went with Ryobi. I didn’t purchase mine on Amazon, I picked mine up at Home Depot but I still wanted to write a review because I saw some negative reviews on here that seem to be mostly user error. This grinder is perfect for small projects, sharpening, chisels, or other tools, or wood shaping if you pick up a wood grinding wheel. It runs solid and steady. It doesn’t shake as long as it’s on a sturdy surface and bolted down like it should be. Great tool to add to the arsenal and at a price of under $100, you won’t find better.
