Works great in small, enclosed spaces
I purchased this hoping to keep the excessive moisture buildup in my safe under control and couldn't be happier!About a year ago I purchased a First Alert fire proof/waterproof safe, which has an airtight seal. After I got it and read the instruction manual I found out that they state that the fireproofing materials used in the safe cause excessive moisture to build up inside the safe and suggest opening the safe on a regular basis and leaving it open to allow it to air out. This is obviously (at least for me) not practical since I got the safe to keep money and other valuables safe.I shrugged off their warning about opening it and placed my items inside and rarely opened it. I found out after several months that my money and other paperwork was very damp and smelled like mildew. So, then I started opening the safe more frequently, which did not help at all,, considering I live in Georgia where the humidity is already very high (so opening the safe just exposes it to similarly damp air.)The moisture was so bad inside the safe that liquid would actually pool on the bottom after being closed for extended periods of time.I then tried placing items inside ziplock bags, which did not work. Then purchased dry bags designed for keeping items dry when boating, etc, and even tried glass storage containers with ridgid plastic lids with gasket seals to place items in (this is what the manufacturer recommends). The dry bags didn't work and moisture still managed to work its way in. The storage containers worked better, but not perfectly. Then I purchased this Eva-dry E-333, which is the small one. I figured I didn't have that much to lose, considering that it doesn't cost very much. Well, I wish this had been my first purchase as this item works! The day I recieved it, I opened the safe and noted that there again was some liquid accumulated on the bottom. I placed the Eve-dry inside, along with the packing slip that came with it (to see how the piece of paper did being left inside the safe). I checked back the next day around the same time and all the moisture on the bottom was gone and paper was still crisp and dry. I then left it closed for several weeks and then checked again. This time I noted that the crystals had started to change colors (they were purple-ish-pink) and safe was still dry and paper still crisp and dry also.I then removed the Eva-dry and plugged it in to refresh it. The next morning the crystals were all blue again and I returned it to the safe.I had no problems with the plug or it falling out of the outlets. I does have a good bit of weight to it compared to a normal cord or power supply; however, if your outlets are good you shouldn't have any trouble. I had all of mine replaced about 8 years ago because many of the old outlets would not hold plugs well in general. If you have outlets like that, this thing will never stay connected, but not really a fault of the product. Using a power strip would also work fine, if needed.Bottom line - It works for my needs (small, enclosed space), you don't have to buy refills, and it's very affordable. I wouldn't recommend this to dehumidify a room, closet, etc, as I seriously doubt it would be that effective under those conditions. The reason I say that is that I've used regular electric dehumidifiers before, which are capable of removing a couple gallons of water every few days and although they make a difference in overal comfort, even those don't do much to lower the actual relative humidity reading within the space.

Effective and Easy to Use for Safes
I have had good luck using these units in my safe. It is effective at controlling the humidity, and regenerating the media is as simple as plugging in. It doesn't require baking in an oven for hours to regenerate or throwing it away. I did ruin one unit by leaving it plugged in for too long, so I plan to use a timer to ensure I don't exceed the recommended time.

Not bad for use inside of safe in a high humidity environment
Alright, let me begin by stating I live in south Louisiana where humidity is a major problem. I keep 2 of these in my safe, and they keep the levels around 48%, which is around 10% lower than my household humidity level. They do however have a shelf life, and will last about a year with heavy use. They will need to be recharged frequently, as I have to charge mine once a week, because the beads become totally saturated. Be careful! The unit will become extremely hot to the touch when rechargingEva-Dry has exceeded my expectations after having used unsatisfactory humidifiers in the past. Its rapid, effective, and energy-efficient design has been a welcome change, as it quickly removes excess moisture from the air with no leaks, spills, or unpleasant odors. I've had no issues with its performance, and I can even see the moisture being extracted from the beads while it's plugged in.Buyers should be aware of imitation versions of this product, because I have tried several, and they do not perform as expected. This company is great to deal with, and honors its genuine products and guarantees 100% customer satisfaction.I only took away 1 star because of the frequency needed to recharge, but keep in mind, as stated, I live in a very humid environment. I will purchase more in the future.

Works wonders for my small bathroom!
I’m honestly quite impressed with this little product. The apartment we live in has a small master bath with absolutely no windows. As often as I clean the bathroom fan - that alone hasn’t been enough to deal with all the extra moisture in there. our toilet constantly sweats all day long, dripping water on the floor, it’s quite annoying. We only have one outlet plug and that is right by the sink with no counter space for a traditional dehumidifier. So I took a chance on this little machine. It sits right on top of my bathroom cabinet, it doesn’t need to be plugged in while in use. There are silica beads inside that collect the moisture. When the orange beads turn green- you then plug it in for 12 hours while it dries out the beads. There are no indicator lights and it takes no effort to use. I was able to go 3.5 weeks before having to plug it in and recharge it. It’s done wonders for the humidity in my bathroom- I judge that by the fact my toilet no longer sweats all day long!

Works great
So simple and effective and the renewal process is effortless. I have two in my large gun safe along with a goldenrod to ensure my firearms and camera and lenses remain protected from moisture. The occasional need to renew is reminder of how effective they are at pulling moisture out of the air in a sealed environment.

Didn’t even last for a year
They worked fine inside my safes, but working for 10 years is a joke. Mine are now coming up on one year, and I plugged them in for two days, but they never returned back to orange. I liked the size and the price, but wondering if it was worth the price for this short of time. I read the reviews before I bought these too. Most of the reviews were positive. So I went with the majority.

Really works, great product
This really really works. I actually was pleasantly surprised. We have one closet that’s always musty smelling and it hangs on to whatever is in the closet. I’ve been buying cheap ones at dollar store but that adds up. Decided to give this product a try, boy am I glad I did. Fights the smell and dries quickly so works perfectly. I’d give 10 out of 10

Small but works hard💪
The size is very convenient and light weight. It absorbs moisture well from the air and the beads are easy to recharge for reusage. The design is very durable also with a hook for hanging convenience. .
