Red Sonja: She-Devil with a Sword Omnibus Volume 2 (RED SONJA OMNIBUS TP)

I grew up reading my Mom's Marvel comics of Red Sonja. She has always been my favorite for comics. This book was excellent! I really liked how the story flowed. If you are fan of Red Sonja or are looking for a new heroine, this book is a good place to start.

I loved all three volume of Red Sonja-She Devil With a Sword. The graphic was so clear and bright and I really couldn't put it down. I recommend these volumes to everybody who like this type of entertainment.

This is a hard book to rate. On the one hand, the art is pretty doggone good, but the writing is fantastic. This book is better than many novels I've read and movies I've seen.On the other hand, though, the story is just not worthy of a tale set during Conan's Hyborian Age. The story told in the pages of this omnibus is an epic fantasy tale, replete with fantastic non-human races (a flying lion is a main supporting character), big hand fulls of magic and sorcerery, and journeys to other planes of existence.This is definitely NOT what Howard's gritty, sword & sorcery, Hyborian Age is all about.So, if you're looking for a well written fantasy tale that has more in common with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings than Howard's Conan tales, then buy the book.If you're like me, addicted to Conan's universe, then you probably want to look elsewhere.

I got this book because I like the whole Red Sonja storyline by dynamite and because I bought the Omnibus vol. 1, but this book isn't as good as vol. 1. Overall I like the story, but I didn't like the delivery. The story didn't flow quite right for me. I felt like they could have added a few more panels to slow the story down a little bit, maybe I just read too much manga. I had to double and triple read certain parts to understand what was going on.

The shipping was fast enough and so was the packaging. However once I started to read the book the binding started cracking and falling apart. The seller made everything correct. They were quick to respond and gave me a refund.

My biggest disappointment with Volume 2 is that it didn't have hardly any Mel Rubi artwork. Mel was the man during the first run. But even the storyline this time around seemed very cheesy. I understand it's fantasy and all, but a race of flying lion-headed guys, then undead pirates? It just took the seriousness of it away. I don't know where the story goes from here, but hopefully it takes quite a turn.
