A.M. Leonard Tree Soaker, Ring Hose - 6 Feet

Cheap but it works
I had to fiddle with the gaskets to stop it from leaking, but it works. It’s more porous than my other soaker hose, so I was glad to have a valve to lower the pressure.

This does the job. Really soaks the ground around the tree!

Perfect for watering trees
This item was just what I needed for watering my recently planted trees. Puts water in right place without run off.

Useful for small, newly planted trees
Ordered, but haven't started using this yet...but based on a lot of negative reviews here did some research both with the manufacturer (very helpful chat line btw at their amleo.com web site) as well as general inquiry about these kinds of irrigation hoses and water pressure.Turns out it's important to keep the water pressure quite low with these hoses. Turn your hose bib / faucet up too high and it will leak at connection points and / or rupture the hose itself. Still trying to find the optimal psi rating for this hose. A. M. Leonard suggested 30-40 psi, which still sounds too high.I'll report back after I put this to use with best practice (and probable need for a pressure regulator on the hose feeding this soaker) and modify my rating then.Update: After ~2 mos. use, it's great. Running it for an hour or two with just a turn on the hose faucet it slowly soaks the ground thoroughly, no leaks. REcommended.

Don’t use high pressure on water and you’ll be fine. Added a quick connect.
Use very low water pressure and you won’t have any issues with leaks. I have been using this for a few months now and no issues. I added a quick connect to where the hose attaches and it makes things easier and probably less wear and tear.

Compression fittings on soaker tube BAD
Installed 2 of these tree soakers. Opened water valve to low output. 30 seconds later POP. One of the female brass ends popped off. The compression fitting failed. When I examined it I could tell why. The part the hose slips over did not have any ribs and was a smooth metal tube. I used a clamp to reconnect the hose but without rids I am pretty sure it will fail again. I will report back.04/02/2021 I emailed vendor about the problem. They took an attitude that they do not make the product, therefore, there was nothing they can do. My view was at least they could contact the manufacturer with a recommendation to improve the product. On the plus side at least they responded back to me.

Cumbersome to attach to hose
This product works fine but the "Y" union that connects to the hose does not have a female swivel to easily connect to the male end of the hose. If the round drip line wants to be kept in place but the hose removed, in order to unscrew the hose one of the swivel connectors needs to be removed first before the Y can be removed from the hose. Cumbersome.
