Great Product all around
First of all the hitch showed up the day they said it would, very fast even with free shipping. This hitch was the best deal I saw online, and I found it from someone else's recommendation. Fits perfect, and talk about beefy! Twice as heavy as the old hitch I removed, and the 6 mounting points were more spread out and better in my opinion. Install took 1/2 tops by myself. Highly recommend to anyone, great product at a great price.

Easy, one person job
Curt 14081 installed on a 1994 Chevrolet K1500.Shipped unwrapped, with just a mailing label attached. The fasteners come in a bag that is securely taped to the hitch.Only takes a 19mm socket for the aftermarket bolts (4) and a 18mm socket for the two factory bolts. I did have to move the bolt for the lighting ground wire over about an inch, but others may not.Save yourself some time and remove the spare tire, because once the hitch is in, the tire will be moved forward about two inches. The person that said the hitch is junk because he bent the metal where the safety chains go (by using them for a tow point), well he sounds like an accident waiting to happen! They are made from half inch rod!

Works, correct fit, not too damaged to install
Hitch was perfect fit. Easy install. Arrived a little scuffed up, heard it bang the ups truck a few times on way out to me as i as waiting on it. Not bent, or too beat up to install, no integrity issues, just cosmetic. Hardware included which was nice.

Fits great after a bit of persuasion!
Came wrapped in a BIG plastic bubble wrap envelope! So it took a few blows while knocking around in various delivery vehicles! Both sides were bent in a bit at the front mounting points. So the mounting holes were WAY off! Be prepared to borrow a sledge hammer to bop the ends back out straight. Not too hard to correct; bent back easier than I expected. Still had to egg out one the the rear mounting holes to get the bolt in. After a bit of persuasion it mounted up great. Viewed from the rear the opening of the receiver is twisted a degree or so off square to one side, but I don't think the trailer gonna care! Happy overall.

Sturdy!!
Replaced an old rusted hitch on my '93 Silverado 1500. Looks great. Hitch will hold more that the truck is rated, and I'll never have to replace the hitch ever again.

Arrived bent up and destroyed.
The hitch itself seems like a quality product, I wish I could install it but it showed up destroyed. I was shipped this loose, no box or packaging. Just some minimal foam and cardboard on the front, which was ripped through and scratched up the visible part of the hitch. The portions that connect to the frame rails had no protection at all and got completely scratched up and one spot even looks like it took a hard hit with something. Now here is the worst part, the legs that attach to the frame were badly bent inward, one side much worse then the other. This is heavy gauge steel, very heavy duty. It took substantial force to bend this thing up the way it did. There is no way it got bent with normal handling, I have no clue how it was even possible for such a force to be exerted during shipping to bend in a trailer hitch. The bends occur where the horizontal square tube is welded to the flat plates that attach to the frame. For this reason I'm afraid the welds or steel in this area is weakened so there is no way i would attempt a repair use. It is essentially scrap metal now. I dont know who's idea it is to ship a product without any packaging, Curt or Amazon, but in this case resulted in a complete failure. I do understand that sometimes it is ok to ship like this with a heavy or bulky item, but it at least needs to be completely covered somehow. When I buy a new product I expect it to arrive looking new, not all beat up and destroyed.

Chain loops are a weak point, but not a deal breaker.
Can't complain honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the chain hooks but they are only there for emergency. I may reinforce them down the road but it's certainly not a deal breaker. Don't mind the other guys review where he tried to pull a tree down or whatever he did to bend the crap out of the chain loops. ITS NOT DESIGNED FOR THAT! All in all this hitch is very well made and fits perfectly! I put it to the rest on an almost daily basis with my 93 K2500 6.5.
