Rain-blo Bubble Gum Balls, 48 Ounce Jar

Love these...can't find them anymore now though

Warning - this review is for the Jum-Blo version of the Rain-blo bubble gum. The A-Z store here may have this review showing up with several varieties of these items, including the smaller Rain-blo gum ball packages. I like those just fine, but what I was looking for when I placed the order for these was the Jum-blo gum balls and thankfully that is just what I got from the vendor I ordered from, here through Amazon. These are fairly large gum balls. A bit larger in diameter than a quarter. My wife, who chews far more gum than I do, doesn't even try to chew these as the gum balls are big enough that they are hard to even get a good bite down on. I like these because they are a bit larger and I don't need to double or triple up on the smaller gum balls just to get enough gum in my mouth to chew on. The flavor on these does tend to dissipate too quickly, but normally these last me long enough for a good trip to or from work (about 30 minutes give or take a bit). The package that I purchased has a fairly well stocked supply of gum balls within the bigger box. My local supplier charges a little more per tube than I paid for these, and unfortunately that supplier is temporarily unavailable to purchase from as they are remodeling and/or renovating their establishment. I'm glad these were available here, and appreciate the price point.

great item

I have an old Carousel "King" gum machine that's been sitting around my home office for years gathering dust. While I was finally cleaning up the office (it's taken years!), I decided to reinvigorate the gum machines (perhaps my daughters would stop by and say hi more often). I looked around for some gumballs and most I found were the larger size that's typically in the $.25 commercial machines (which clearly wouldn't fit my machine). I found these and gave them a shot. The gumballs are 1/2 inch and fit nicely in my machine, the amount filled my machine about 2/3rds of the capacity (it's hard to tell exactly since some is below the glass and the glass shrinks towards the top -- but clearly I could not fit another package into the same machine. The gumballs were fresh (I hate stale gum) and the taste is good and varied amongst the balls. They taste lasts about as long as you get from most gum. I'm certainly happy with the product and my girls are -- the first thing they do when they get in from school is stop by the office for a gum refill. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star is that I think they are a bit on the pricy side for the amount of gumballs provided. I think a more reasonable price would be on the order of $10 to $15 -- though I do have to admit that I've been unable to find similarly sized balls for that price (unless they also included a large shipping cost on top of the lower price and netted out to be even more expensive).

Purchased on 8/2020. Best Buy date is 1/2022. With proper storage, I’m hopeful they well remain soft and fresh. Definitely a good purchase. My only issue is that Apple flavored is advertised on the box, but there are not any apple flavored in the package. The pack consists of four flavors; grape, cherry, orange, and one flavor (the yellow) is unknown. If it’s suppose to be their adaptation of Apple, it misses the mark! I also like that the expiration date is visible on each package!

Good flavor

I grew up with bubble gum like Bazooka and RAIN-BLO and love my bubble gum, especially flavored gum balls like these. The Jar doesn't have a plastic seal over top to lockout air, just a lid that could fit a bit tighter, and the top is wrapped with a loose fitting wrap to hold the lid in place. I'm really disappointed since love these gum balls, great flavor, somewhat addictive. They price is also hard to beat and the only issue I have with my order is that they were almost hard as a rock. The date on these is fine, says good until 2023, but the canister I received was stale, almost to hard to chew unless you hold them in your hand for a minute or two to warm them up which makes them easier to chew. Even small gum balls like these an adult should be able to pinch them hard and they should give a bit, start to cave in, not the ones I got. They may have been stored improperly in the Amazon warehouse, to warm / hot causing them to harden. I've bought other bulk gum balls from Amazon in the past like watermelon 2 lb. bags and they were as fresh as it gets. I'd also gotten these in the larger size which comes in a tube wrapper sent to me as a gift, perfectly fine, fresh. I won't order a canister like this again.

What more is there to say? These rain blow gumballs were some of the best balls I have ever popped into my 53-year-old mouth!! Oh my god! They are so good! You pop them in your mouth and just the right amount of crunch and then gum for hours. The colors all taste like they are supposed to. The purple? Total grape. The orange? Like a can of Orange crush in your mouth! The yellow? Little lemon swimming in your mouth! And the orange the red oh my God the red I already said the orange. The red was my favorite. Did I mention the crunch? The first time you pop it in your mouth, and you bite down crunch. That perfect amount of crunch then followed into gum. These little balls of flavor set my mouth a blaze with joy! I will definitely be ordering these again. The value for my money? Priceless!!
