Works As Advertised
I recently moved and lost my garage spot so I needed an all-weather cover for my Honda RC51. This fits perfectly. I've owned a DOWCO all-weather cover in the past (like 15 years ago) for a previous motorcycle, so it's nice to see their quality hasn't gone downhill since then. Purely Power Sports shipped it; ordered it on a Saturday, it arrived the following Tuesday.

This cover is amazing
Been using this cover for heat protection exclusively until today. We had some crazy storm today and fortunately I had this cover on my 883. When I remove the cover, I noticed my baby bike is completely dry. The only wet part is the uncovered bottom half of the front tire and that’s it.This cover really does it’s job.

2nd one
This is my 2nd exact cover. First one lasted 5 years which I thought was pretty good. Great cover for a full bagger touring motorcycle.

Wonderfal Motorcycle Cover For Sportbikes that Fits my R1 Like A Glove
I've been using the sportbike version of this cover on my 2012 Yamaha R1 now for 3 straight seasons of outdoor storage and it works really well as a daily-use cover and fits like a glove. The fitment literally couldn't be any more perfect for this bike and it's almost like they form fit it specifically for it rather than being a universal sport-bike cover. It keeps debris and the majority of the rain from completely soaking the bike and helps add a measure of anti-theft to the bike by making the bike less obvious to the casual passer-by.The motorcycle cover comes with a single strap that runs under the bike and clips into a buckle on a strap on the other side of the cover to help keep it on the bike and it does a fine job at that. I've yet to have this thing shift or move barely an inch through many heavy wind and rainstorms. The interior of this cover is a fairly soft material that shouldn't harm your paint finish as long as the bike is relatively clean, since you don't want to throw any cover on a dirty bike and scrape the dirt into the soft clearcoat finish. One thing to watch out for though is that you can get some light scratches on a plastic sportbike windscreen with this cover even though it has a sewn-in white windscreen protector in the section that lays on the windscreen. I figured this out fairly quickly and I take two microfiber towels and drape them in overlapping fashion over my windscreen so that the cover isn't laying directly on it and it will be protected from abrasion by the microfiber towels, and the cover fits tight enough to hold them in place as long as you put the cover on starting in the front of the bike and then slide the towels in under it after the front 1/3 of the cover is in place (over the front wheel and ready to go over the windscreen). This cover is not completely waterproof and it will let some water through to your bike if store outside, particularly as the cover ages. There is also a little vent built into the cover that goes in the corner where your left-hand mirror is which helps you line the cover up with the front of the bike and allows trapped moisture to escape out from under the cover. If you plan on using this outside as a permanent winter cover to get you through a snowy off-season, I recommend putting this cover on and then putting a tarp over it while you have another tarp under the bike, this way you are keeping as much moisture as possible off of it while it hibernates through the dreary winter misery of a cold place like New England. One thing I don't like about this cover are that the buckles on the straps aren't lined with some sort of soft material. I'm always very careful when putting this cover on because they can sometimes smack against the painted surfaces of the bike and it feels like they might make small scratches. Maybe if there were a fabric cover of some sort going around the latches it might help prevent this from happening, although it might make it harder to use the buckles. There is a large white and red "Guardian" symbol on the front of the cover that helps make it obvious to you where the front of the cover is, but it would be nice if it had some sort of reflective striping down the back of the cover both for safety purposes and so that it was easier to find the back of it when you are picking the cover up while it's folded or balled up in storage. I often have to hunt and fumble around a bit to locate the "Guardian" symbol when I am putting this cover on by myself so I can tell where the front of it is and this could be a lot easier with the rear portion also marked.I would definitely recommend this cover to other riders, especially since I can't think of any better alternatives for the money. I am giving it 5 stars, but I would like to give it 4.5 if half-stars were an option just due to the windscreen-scratch threat and the latches also being potential scratch hazards.

Not Waterproof, Rots and Falls Apart
I have purchased 5 Dowco Powersports Motorcycle Covers through Amazon, 4 of them (so called Lifetime Warranty)I purchased extra covers throughout the years so that I would have a cover for my bikes while waiting for the replacement coming through warranty. I feel this was a little above and beyond for me because I did not rely 100% on their lifetime warranty. So I was giving them all of my business and dealing with their policies properly. Then Dowco Powersports decided to turn their back on me, and their so called Lifetime Warranty. That is the reason for this review!!A new manager came to the claims department and when I needed to do an exchange she recommended I get a smaller cover that I had to purchase. She thought that the cover I was using was too long for my bike but "she did not know" that my bike had saddlebags so the bottom of the cover were never touching the ground. You can see from my pictures and video another Dowco cover which also rotted and the seam sealing tape came out but I still use it as a shell over the plastic I used to protect my motorcycle. In the photos you can see the plastic cover I bought to put on my motorcycles beneath the Dowco cover to try to keep the moisture out. I had to keep a plastic cover over both motorcycles(beneath the Dowco Covers) so that they did not get wet from the covers leaking. When the covers got saturated with water the plastic would help keep the moisture away from my motorcycles.Living in the extra moisture ultimately took it's toll on my motorcycles but not detrimental. There were things like screws corroding, and before I started using the plastic. I also had some staining on the seats from moisture getting past my Dowco Powersports covers. I was in the process of warranty another cover and the person I was speaking to said that her boss said no. I asked to speak to her boss's manager and they said okay he will call you. He never called and I was told no warranty by the new manager. She told me that I would be under a special policy other than their lifetime warranty that would require me to send in the whole cover. From Thailand that would cost me $200, or more possibly because of the weight, and she knew this. She said basically she did not care. So at this point I will never know if this was strictly her idea or if she was representing the policies of the company based on what the company wanted. Ultimately she was acting as the voice and mouth for Dowco Motorsports and their reputation. A Lifetime Warranty is only as good as the company or manufacturer that offers it. This company has chosen to renege on its promise and warranty and evidently does not care about public View. As a note I always purchased the most expensive and highest quality covers that they offered.I recommend not to purchase anything manufactured by,DOWCO MOTORSPORTS.

Best aftermarket cover.
Best bamg for your buck. Only had this cover for a few months but have had the same brand on my road glide as well. Definitely recommend this product. Size large is a perfect fit on my 2014 Street glide. Not sure if size large would fit a tour pack. 14" apes or bigger maybe pushing it as well. Definitely fits my 12" bars.

Better than any Oxford cover.
Very good product, I used to own a Oxford Protex Stretch and this product blows this out of the water. Brilliant cover. Even comes with a compression sack, for easy carriage.

Life Span of 3 Months!
I purchased this cover last year to protect my motorcycle from sun and rain when parked at work. All the glued seams came apart in the heat. I contacted the company about a replacement, they told me to ship them the old one at my cost to them in the United States ($68.00 through Canada Post with tracking). After which they would decide if it falls under warranty. Avoid This Bad Company At All Cost.As A Side Note; when I bought my BBQ cover and it started to fall apart, that company had me take detailed pictures of said item, before shipping a new item out.

Worth the money!
My motorcycle is outside all summer, rain and shine. I've had numerous covers over the years.. that sun said and leak after an hours down pour. A friend recommended this Dowco Guardian 50124-00 WeatherAll Plus Indoor, and I made the investment. Well, right out of the pac I could feel the guilty difference, fabric, stitching, details... then we had a week straight of solid soaking rain. When the sun finally came back out I pulled the cover off and my bike was pristine. I'm totally impressed and wish I'd have just spent the money on this one years ago and saved the headache. Stay safe, ride safe!

Great quality! Make sure you get the right size for your motorcycle!
I got the SP model for my Yamaha XSR700; I highly recommend you go go to the Dowco website to search for your motorcycle, and make sure of fitment because these fit tight! Honestly for my bike, the SP size (aka Medium size) fits very tight and it's a bit of a chore to put on the bike; there's no loose fabric, everything's pretty stretched and a tight fit when on, but I think that's the idea! As a result water really drips down, after downpours my bike is perfectly dry, and the little venting enclosure lets air out in order to combat condensation.A bit pricey, should honestly be around $80 to be considered an incredible value, but the quality is definitely well above what you find at big box stores.Just make sure you have the right model for your motorcycle and you won't regret your purchase!
