Westminster Hearty Square Crackers - 6 Oz Box

Good Quality
These crackers are a little pricey. They are not your average wrapped-in-wax paper stacked-into-a-box kind of cracker. They come loose in the box. They are crisp, firm, and delicious. They are by far my favorite saltine cracker. Unfortunately, I don't buy them often because of the price. Many restaurants now use this brand of saltine. The taste is so good that I tend to eat them with peanut butter or some jam as a snack. I save the cheaper variety for soups. Although Westminster also makes an excellent oyster cracker!

Delicious - They are "Premium"
I've switched to the Westminster from years of not eating or slowly chewing the Premium ( HAH ) Saltines from Nabisco. They moved their cracker making elsewhere, changed the shortening and possibly the wheat blend resulting in a very CHEWY type cracker. The Sunshine Krispy's are ok but I can only get them from a nearby Dairy Queen. Then Chick Fil A started using the Westminster. WOW Fresh and crispy and crunchy. They are great. My only complaints are the way they are just jumbled into the box resulting in broken crackers and the price. They are about 2x that of any other cracker. I am paying it because they have a great flavor and texture but if they could lose a buck on that price tag or provide more for the money that would be fantastic.

Good.
Good, but I prefer the individually wrapped.

Crushed
Crackers taste good or at least the powder of them tastes good. Every box I have received has been crushed crackers.

Crumby Crackers
I'm not sure if it's me, because I'm accustomed to crackers with preservatives, but the crackers tasted kind of old and stale. For the price I paid (nearly $8.00/bx), I was expecting NonGMO, fresher, crunchier crackers. I will most likely try another brand next time with quality and better price.

NOT BIO-ENGINEERED
These are very good, I just wish they were more affordable. They are not bio-engineered that's why I buy them.

Broken crackers
I ordered 1 box to try...excellent. Expiration date of August 2024. My next order was the set of 4 boxes. What a difference! 1/3 of each box the crackers were broken with crumbs on the bottom. Expiration date was June of 24. Very disappointing as these crackers are expensive. They are delicious and my husband loves them as do I but I don't want to pay for broken crackers.

Inadequate packaging, overpriced.
These are my favorite saltines in the whole wide world. Unfortunately, they are not widely distributed, so I ordered a box, which arrived in less than optimal shape. It was delivered in the rain in a corrugated cardboard outer box that was soaked on the bottom and when I opened the inner packaging I found that half of the crackers were broken. They were about twice the price you would pay if you bought them in a store (which I have been able to do subsequently).Net, net - wonderful, delicately flavored. crackers which complement cheeses and soups, nut butters and charcuterie, but inappropriately packaged by the upseller/reseller.
