Returned my shotgun to original configuration.
Returned my shotty to its original functionality. When I was younger, and dumber, I put a “tacticool” stock on my shotgun and the ergonomics were ruined. Lost the original stock in a move.I ordered this stock and now the shotgun feels like it should now.

Great upgrade over stock furniture.
Grippy, comfortable, and reliable. A solid, dependable replacement/upgrade for stock furniture. The only thing to be aware of is the rubber isn't immune to chemicals. Some products like bug spray can harm the rubber. So do a quick bit of research if you're dousing yourself with mosquito repellent before shouldering the shotgun and taking aim.

Great setup
First, without reading the reviews here I probably would have not ordered the adapter nut and been in bind, but since I did I knew to measure the forend with the grip off and since mine was 6 3/4" long, I knew to order the adapter nut.I ordered this since my old forend cracked down the middle. Removing the old stock was easy, used a socket with an extension to remove the stock screw and channel lock players to remove the forend nut. Just reversed the process to install the new parts. Everything fit well, there are no gaps or overlaps, just looks like it was built that way.I took it out and shot three rounds of skeet and it handled as well as before. Going from low ready to the shoulder in a hurry is a bit more difficult due to the grabby nature of the stock material, but I usually call for the target with the gun mounted to my shoulder so it isn't a problem. The balance does not feel any different, and shooting doubles is actually easier since I don't grip the forend, I just rest it on my left hand and work the action with friction, and there is now more friction to work with. It took a little getting used to, and I can't say my scores have improved any due to the new stock, but I will keep practicing and hope to make a few 25's this year. All in all I am very happy with the stock and forend. I wasn't planning in purchasing this, but necessity dictated and I am very pleased with the results. I would be happy to recommend the Hogue Shotgun Stock and Forend kit. Just make sure you measure the forend before ordering, 6.75 inches requires the adapter nut.

Great price but buyer beware
It’s a good product. The forearm has nice rubber finish for grip .The butt stock is a little disappointing. I thought it was wood with a rubber over mold. It’s just a hollow plastic butt stock .I put a piece of 3/4 pvc pipe in it to allow for the bolt and filled it with expandable foam. To make it more quiet and help with recoil .They should be more detailed in their description of the butt stock .Great price but buyer beware.

Feels great
Great quality. Does not come with bolt. But came with washer. So you may have to go get the right size bolt.

Much Needed
This is perfect for my mossberg 500. I was new to shotguns when I bought mine,,, it had the 6 position adjustable stock w/ pistol grip which has its place and advantages amongst shotguns, but I dont think Mossberg should have made it an option on their guns due to the placement of the safety which is on top of the receiver. Using the stock that I bought it with made manipulating the safety cumbersome since I had to remove my grip to reach the safety. My fault completely, I should have done more research before my purchase. Anyway,,, this stock solves that problem quickly.Another upgrade is the recoil pad... WAY thicker than the one that came on the ATI stock. Havent fired it yet but I can pretty much forsee there being no more brusing after a trip to the range.Installing the buttstock was pretty easy. I took the advice of another reviewer and bought the bolt from Home Depot, cut it down from 6" to 5.5",,, used the provided washer and had no problems. Stock is snug as a bug.I guess I got lucky with the forend. I read that with newer Mossy's the slide tube was shorter and didnt match requiring an adittional part from houge. Not the case with mine. I used a pair of channel locks with a couple peices of duct tape to remove the forend nut... forend slid on, tightened the nut until it was snug and gave it an additional 1/4 turn and it seems to function as if it were stock.Extrememly happy with this kit and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade, or anyone with a pistol grip / adjustable stock that has problems effectively manipulating the safety.

Perfect fit on a 1971 mossberg 500 12ga
At first, I thought it wouldn't fit, but a friend set me straight and explained the install. It is a 5 1/2 inch bolt with 5/16 thread. Perfect fit and i was able to install in 25 minutes.

Needs parts they don’t make anymore
No one tells you that parts for the Maverick 88, slide action tube, are not available on Hogues site or anywhere else that I can find.
