Didn't have to program it. It worked right out of the package. Works perfectly. I switched it from IR to RF. Very easily done. Happy. Directv wanted 15 for thos.

Great Value
I never used to buy aftermarket remotes until I tried one for my Sony A/V receiver that was great and this one is just as good as its OEM counterpart. DirecTV wouldn't replace one of my three remotes even though they own the hardware so I tried this item and it not only works as well as the OEM remote, but it was around $8.00. A win-win.
