I store some of it in my freezer and some in my fridge. This is a bargain come pared to all those little packages. If you do a!lot. of bread baking this is far cheaper to buy and use.most important the quality is great it performs time and time again if you find its a pan to measure out 2 1/4 teaspoons get the spoon on Amazon it does it for you its made just for us so we do not have to dirty 2 spoons to measure out the yeast. I keep it right in the jar with the yeast in my fridge

Good rise in a bread machine
Photo has a 1.5 lb pumpernickel on the left and a 2 lb potato bread on the right made in a bread machine on the basic cycle: about 3 hours total time, including 14 minutes kneading, 25 minutes rest, 14 minutes kneading, 39 minutes rise, punchdown, and 50 more minutes rise. Loaves rose as expected to the top of the pan.I bake bread about every 8 - 10 days, so I put 4 oz of yeast in a jar to be kept in the fridge, and prepare three 4-oz. vacuum sealed packages that go in the freezer for later use. I'll update this review when I start on one of the frozen packages.

Alot better results than SAF Yeast
I used to use SAF Yeast. My pizza dough, after being in the refrigerator for a few days, would deflate and not reinflate after bringing out to room temp. I am on my third one pound bag of Fleishman's Yeast and it stays inflated, even after removing half and using the second piece about three days later. Do not know why but it even seems to have better flavor. Just made the second piece today and even after about five days from making the dough it had a nice rise and bubbly crust.

Not vacuumed sealed and price went up 50%
First of all, mine was not vacuumed sealed when it arrived. Don’t know what effect that may have had. Seems to perform as an instant yeast should. I use it for baking gluten free bread and so I may give it a kick start by proofing it for a few minutes. Otherwise, it seemed to smell, taste and work fine. I’m no expert so that’s my takeaway. Got it for just over $5. Last time I checked the price had been raised by 50%. I guess they think we don’t notice or have been stupid enough to click on “subscribe and save”. I am still breathing, thank you. So I’ll search for a more reasonably priced product. Thank you very much. I’m sure they don’t like the plugged in customer, but I refuse to play these games on pricing. I’m not even sure it’s legal to price discriminate against a customer who buys the product. I mean, whatever happened to the concept of rewarding loyal customers or giving customers who repeatedly buy an item a discount. Instead, we are rewarded by a price gouge. I’d rather go without or buy from anther marketplace than be ripped off by a monopoly that is taking advantage of people especially during a health crisis like COVID. Oh and don’t even get me started on their support for BLM and the like. I’m sure my post will be censored or edited as hate speech but whoever thought we’d be punishing people for telling the truth in America.

Rising to the occassion . . .
I have to admit that I was skeptical about buying this based on reviews. My package arrived quickly and did not stay out in the heat for any length of time on my end. It was not a solid, airtight brick like I have bought from stores. However, I promptly opened it, put a little yeast in some warm sugar water, and waited. I am pleased to say that it frothed well and I am pretty sure it will work in my baked goods. If there are issues when it is used for bread, etc., I will update my review.

My home-baked bread rises without fail
I'll be honest here. I would much rather purchase the Platinum yeast in bulk, but I cannot find it. (shrug) This arrived tightly sealed. Once I opened it, I transferred to a zipper freezer bag, squished out as much air as I could and threw it in the freezer. My bread has risen every time without fail. This is so much more cost effective than buying those little packages or jars from the grocery store. I will absolutely re-order more when I run low.

The best
This is by far the best yeast on the market. I thought the price was a little high, but would definitely recommend purchasing it.

bread rises well.
In making 3 loaves of bread I used 1 teaspoon more than what calls for. Rises well. No big air pockets. No yeast flavor. I will continue to use it. I do my own airtight seal
