Small Business Must Have!!
Oh how I could have used this book ten years ago when I was co-owner in a decorating business! Boy did we make some dumb mistakes just because of lack of knowledge! Had I then understood about CASH FLOW what this book teaches, it would have saved us a lot of hassle- and probably had more money in our pockets! This is perfect for someone who knows how to run the customer side of their business, but doesn't know quite what to do with the financial side of the business. There are clear charts with explanations as to why it is important that you keep track of each expenditure. I also liked how it illustrated to compare week to week, month to month and year to year sales and expenses. I would recommend this book to someone thinking of starting their own business- it will give you a bigger picture of what you will be up against financially. It would also be good for any small business owner who doesn't have the funds to have a professional bookkeeper and is trying to do it all them selves- this will lighten your load because it shows you how to set up a system to keep track of everything.I was given this book for free in exchange for my honest feedback.

Packed with information and helpful tips
As someone who has recently considered starting a small business, I have found this book to be quite informative and helpful. Though I have already learned much of the structures as well as the financial ins and outs, this book has helped me to understand many of the fine details. The helpful hints and tips throughout the book are great as well as the visual aids such as charts and tables to see the actual accounting process. I also found the Valuing Your Business section and balance sheet to be helpful in the event of selling or liquidation of a business. This was something new to me and I was surprised at how easy this is to calculate. This book is great for anyone involved in a small business or for anyone wanting to learn more about how the financial side of a small business runs. I appreciate having this resource as it is packed with informative tips and easy to read.*I received this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Very well organized, written, & helpful book
Although I am not personally a small business owner, I have friends as well as family members who own their own small businesses. So when I was given the opportunity to review this book, at no cost I gladly accepted. I like to read different things in my downtime & thought this might give me interesting information to pass on to the bussiness owners I know. In the first chapter alone I personally was able to learn the accounting terms I have heard many times but never quite knew rhe meaning of...like Equity, liability, & profit margin. I am glad that I personally recieved a slight education of sorts very early on in the book. I really like that the book also provides pictures of table examples of how business should organize their businesses expenses & earnings. Organization is the key to success In my opinion. There are many table examples avaliable & each important section is pointed out, broken down, & discussed which I feel is very great. It is especially helpful if someone like myself who is inexperienced wants to start a path in the business venture. The second chapter of this book, offers help with journaling (keeping records) of stock, payroll information, employee benefits (if applicable) & more. Again there are many helpful visual charts, & sections are broken down & explained very well. The final 3 chapters discuss ordering equipment & tools that may be needed, running your business (taking into account cost of restocking supplies ect) & the end of a cycle time period. Again, many charts & lots of detail provided so you learn quickly & easily how to stay organized, & aware of cost versus earnings to make sure your business is helping you earn income & running correctly. Although, I do not plan on owning my own businesss for awhile, I do plqn to one day open a daycare. I like this book & I believe it offeres a lot of valuable and important information. I will be using this quick new education I gained hopefully to start my own business when I am ready.

All the basics to getting your business going
One thing I was good at in school, and wanted to go to college for, but did not have the money...accounting! While I do not own a small business, I would love to open one up in the future, and of course that is going to take accounting skills. Looking through this book made me realize how long I have been out of school, and how much there is to re-learn. I feel that this book is an awesome start for a first time business owner and covers all the basics you will need to know to make your business run smooth and keep track of gains/loses. From Income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, taxes, wages, and everything in between. Within the book are grids, so you can see how everything is actually setup, which is great if you are a visual learner like me. This book has 121 pages of great information that I plan on reading over now and then to keep myself informed, for when I am ready to start my own business. And if I ever get back to school, I'll be ahead of the game.I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion

Don't get the Kindle version
Kindle Version!I struggled about whether to give this three stars or four. My suggestion to anyone wanting to get it for the Kindle: Don't. Get a physical copy. There are a ton of notes missing from the Kindle version. Sometimes the charts and tables are way too small to be read on the Kindle. I believe this could be a great book, but the further you go into it, the more information is missing from the Kindle format.I believe the content in a physical book would be well worth it. The author uses visual, by example, and explanation learning as ways to teach and does a very good job of that, at least from what I can tell.
