...not literally, but electrolytes do help. As with any self-reported claims there is the factor of "results may not be typical." Anyway, I first purchased these on impulse to help with exercise-induced cramping and it seemed to have helped. Easy to take, the prescribed dose of three or four small tablets dissolves under your tongue without any bitter aftertaste. Writing of which, the taste is pretty nondescript--not bad but I wouldn't characterize it as a flavor. One of the ingredients listed is a form of magnesium, which is helpful (studies suggest) in warding off cramping. I also used this with a potassium supplement for maximum effect. I notice another version of this has quinine, which I personally avoid as it does have some side effects. As always, if uncertain about this check with a pharmacist or doctor if you are taking other medications because of possible interactions.
