Jobber 6 Construction Calculator

I am a structural steel estimator and need a more compact version of my construction calculator so that I can do calculations no matter where I am at. The Jobber 6 has all the amenities that I need from calculating slopes, to circles, to regular math functions. It only took me a day to get used to the 15 key design but it is so much faster because of it. Another cool feature about it is if you haven't read the instructions you might have a difficult time with this calculator, but the way I see it that keeps everyone else's hands off of it in my office any way. It is worth the price and recommend this Jobber 6 to everyone!Joshua

I've put my 27 year old Jobber "3" back into use. The keys on the Jobber "6" have become all but useless. They were a problem from the beginning. I'm having to be very careful about the input and do all calculations twice to be certain. It's still a good calculator but the keys are crap.

while I mostly use my fingers to count, adding and dividing fractions have always presented a singular problem. But with the Jobber my higher math complications have been solved. throw in a little trig and geometry and the world looks a bit more predictable.

This is not an improvement over the 5. First the flimsy battery compartment , if you've used one before then u know about getting a static charge and having to pop the battery in and out to reset. The plastic is so thin on the holder the battery falls out or it easily bends trying to insert it. They no longer print the dims in the face of the calculator , instead u get cheap piece of flimsy to hold down with a pc of tape. You've got to be kidding me ! It's a construction calc and the primary purpose is inputting FIS, the secondary function is cos sin etc. It needs to be reversed and a thicker of of plastic maybe that will not interfere with the buttons.

Lots of great functions, not intuitive, you need the instruction book that comes with it to use many of the functions. My equal button only works about every other time I press it. Good calculator when you figure it out, but needs some quality upgrades. I would be willing to pay more for a higher quality calculator with the same functions not made in China but in the US.I do use it everyday.

Metal plate on face was rolled up on the front, had to tape it down to use it. Then found that the division button was not working and had to return. Hope the next one we order was manufactured better. Other than that everyone in our office uses them, and would not consider using anything else.

I am a detailer for a steel fabrication company and this is the only calculator that I will use. It does everything I need to do! I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for this type of calculator.

Great product! Just trying to get accustomed to using it.Have used a Construction Master Pro for several years and bought this one hoping the input of odd lengths etc. would be quicker.Am pleased with it!
