A MIXED BAG
A growing number of informed, open-minded people around the world are coming to realize that the history of humanity we teach in our schools at this time is seriously flawed. The evidence that a technologically sophisticated culture, either alien or Earth-evolved, comparable to our present level of engineering ability truly existed in our evolutionary past. This book presents some interesting new evidence and hypotheses. While I don't fully agree with all of the authors conclusions (based on my own writing and 40+ years of research) I still recommend this book as being helpful in ultimately achieving a revision of the misunderstood history we are presently infecting our youth and societies with. A great read about earth's early civilizations
A book that should be a part of world history in our school systems, if we want to obtain perspective about earth's early civilizations. It relies on evidence based concepts with an effort to document and identify civilization links. It should be used as a platform to greater looking and learning.

Very interesting take on human migration to North and South America
While the author really stresses his seriousness for the subject, his writing style is difficult to digest. The ideas I must say are very interesting! They are also very well explained, discussed and where possible he tries to tie tightly together and prove. I don't want to say its all conspiracy and that the "proven" science is a hundred percent right either. I absolutely think there are major holes in the modern science of human migration to the Americas, and the author truly wants to fill the gaps, or even rewrite it. If your looking for a book with some alternate explanations of the subject read this book, it certainly won't hurt to look at the world differently for a couple hundred pages.

Three Stars
Compelling thesis that fails to convince the reader, sadly.

American Pre-History Comes into Focus
Not North American pre-history which has been dominated by the establishment theory of a red-yellow race migrating over the Bering Straits. Nor is it concerned w/ Mormon archeology's attempt to prove the wandering Israelites, early Christians or Ancient Egyptians found the New World. It's not even about Central America and the Mayans ur-culture. Rather Witkowski follows the path of blustraphedonic writing and architectural sophistication from Mohenjaro Pakistan to Nan Madol Polynesia to Easter Island and finally to Tiahuanaco Bolivia. The navigators of this intrepid cultural journey were apparently a branch of the white race known to philologists as Finno-Ugrics or to Edo Nyland as the Sea Peoples.[[ASIN:1552127818 Odysseus and the Sea Peoples: A Bronze Age History of Scotland]That this tribe ranged far thru Asia and into America can no longer be doubted w/ the discoveries of Kennewick Man, the red-haired mummies of Central Asia, the pale Ainu people of Japan, and the long faced stones of Easter Island all feeding into the mythology of the American red races who revered the long-eared, light-skinned, bearded, elder gods from afar.Naturally any thesis that hints at valorizing past white accomplishments will not find favor in today's politically correct academic order (and Witkowski wisely and diplomatically underplays these controversialracialist aspects). But if you're something of an intrepid historical navigator yourself, then this is a book for your consideration.
