Fondant is used to cover cakes for a perfectly smooth iced surface. It is also used creatively to shape borders, flowers, leaves, figures & other decorations. Fondant can be colored by adding gel paste, or flavored by using concentrated flavorings. Kosher pareve. One year shelf life when tightly sealed in plastic.
