IDEA Engineering Vixen Finder Dovetail for DSLR Cameras with Standard hotshoe V4

This is a great find. I can now attach a mini guide scope to the hot shoe of my camera. I am using a ZWO 30F4 with a ZWO ASI120MM-S camera on top of a Sony A7R2. Works very well.

Very well built and usable. The only issue was shipping time (got lost in the mail), The aluminum body is solid and adjusts quickly. Has a good holding power on every hot shoe I have tried it on.Previously paid as much for 3D printed hot shoe-orion mounts that didn't last.

Superb!I have been looking for some way to "direct" my camera for 100-300 mm astro shots. I have tried several other methods to get my laser attached to my camera [L-bracket, etc.] but this works really well. I attached my Vixen-style laser holder and voila... ready to go. The dovetail fits snugly, no play, and is centered. The addition of the 2nd thumbscrew is a real plus.5 stars.I would assume this will work well for auto-guiding [but I don't really need that with my mount].

Totally inaccurate product description. Does not fit Sony A700 hot shoe.I both phoned and sent an email to this company with no response.Appears to be a reasonably well constructed product but product representation andcustomer support are zero.

So.... doesn’t quite fit in my hot shoe mount. But I kinda make it work.

Useless item... Not suitable with nikon hot shoe... Fixing with other it is loose and not holding tightly. No grip at all... Friend don't buy this flimsy product and don't break your guide scope..
