My customer is happy
I sold this to a customer of mine, to replace their old copier. They print on plastic labels and this printer will handle it. Also sold them an HP M605 so now they have two machines that use the same toner cart. 😎

A real workhorse.
Our copier died and we needed a scanner, copier, and printer. Copier companies wanted to sell us huge floor model style copiers with huge price tags. I had not seen this printer but decided to take the risk because of the price. It's larger than the average printer but it cranks out copies and scans extremely fast. It's a real workhorse. Everyone in the office is really happy with it.I saved thousands and the printer far exceeds expectations.

Scanning is bad
The machine is a workhorse all right. But after all these years, HP still cannot make the configuration page run faster. It takes so long to load page to amend the settings from web access. Also the scanning ability is atrocious. It can't scan color pen marking as black and white. I have used other large MFP such as xerox and minolta where it takes milliseconds to scan documents into perfect black and white, which is particularly useful in office setting where you mark comments on the documents and send it to another party. I initially resisted getting HP because I had good experience with other photocopier but my local photocopier retailers insist on leasing plans when i wanted to buy it outrightUpdate: Its been 1 year since this machine is experiencing low usage. We learn to live with it by not using color pen. Then today the email function died on the machine. I went to the backend EWS to check and the machine is sending out email perfectly fine. Only issue is sending via the touch screen keeps giving SMTP gateway or certificate error. So looks like the firmware is broken somewhere (which seems to be common since forums are filled with request for this help). I'm going to attempt firmware upgrade to see if I can fix it myself since there is no more warranty. Seriously, a machine with this price tag and enterprise series should be more robust than this.

Absolutely atrocious service from HP. This thing came DOA and emitted burning smell. ZERO support other then "in the near future when the engineer comes out to you". I'm getting my money back through my CC. I'm done with HP and their service for brand new DOA $1,800 products
