are these actual husk and not powder - the box says husk but the description says powder?

It’s ground up husk but still a course powder. Definitely thicker than the powder you would find in Metamucil for example. It doesn’t dissolve in drinks.

Does this work well for baking (Keto etc.)?

Absolutely not. I think it would not go down well for a child. I have to drink it all at once without stopping or I get the heaves.😬
