Simple, clean, and effective. Not much to say about this. The quality is solid and they have run for years without issue. They emit a nice soft glow that isn’t bracing, and react well to different lighting conditions.

Does exactly what I was hoping. Provides low level soft lighting, plugs directly into an outlet so no batteries needed. I really like that you can rotate the direction of the light 360 degrees, so I can point it down at the floor or up at the ceiling depending on where it's plugged in. It's not bright enough to be seen with your eyes closed so it doesn't bother our sleep, but is helpful when using the restroom at night. Honestly both me and my partner are wondering why we didn't buy these sooner.

You can easily find cheaper ones so why did I pay more for these – two things, one is the GE brand on them and the other is that tiny label on the back that says they are UL approved. A faulty nightlight is a very common cause of house fires. You can tell immediately that these are made well of quality materials, the light ring rotates smoothly all the way around, the lens is not just a frosted piece of plastic it actually focuses the light in a concentrated beam. As far as them being from GE don’t get too excited, these days those big respected brand names are mostly gone, in this particular instance the name is only used by a licensing agreement, the actual company that makes these is Jasco. PROS AND CONS If it sounds like I am happy with these you are right but that doesn’t mean they are for everyone. Unless you live in a dorm or small one room apartment you probably have need for more than one kind of night light. As a generality there are three very different needs in my home. One is the bathroom where I want it to light up only the area that I use during the night, not the whole room. I don’t want it pointing in my eyes, but I want enough light to do what I’m in there for. These are perfect for that. They are just bright enough, maybe a two on a scale of five. The light is a soft white and focused only where you point the rotating ring. If you do it right you can’t even see the lens at all. It comes on at night and goes off at dawn. Now the other two areas I use night lights are quite different. One is the hallway to the bedrooms. There I want a device that very softly lights up the entire area with no area brighter than another, and my preference is a cool blue hue that is easy on the eyes. For that purpose I choose a light that has a large frosted screen that emits light in all directions equally. The third area is within the bedroom itself where my preference is a light that only comes on when it senses movement, otherwise stays dark. If I do want a light that is on all the time I want it to be completely indirect and very dim so it can’t shine in our eyes. So it’s not really a matter of pros and cons but what works best for you. HINT I have bought this product before, this time I had another idea in mind. Our TV is in a darkened corner with some interesting handmade artwork hanging on the walls behind it. I wanted a way to illuminate that artwork but only very softly so it didn’t affect our TV viewing. So what I did is to attach a power extension strip behind the TV and plug in two of these so I can rotate them and point them toward the artifacts on the wall. I can adjust them to any angle I want and the effect looks like it was done by an interior decorator. YES OR NO What’s the most you will save by buying the no name brand, maybe two or three bucks – choose these for quality and the UL label. That was my choice. I hope this helped you make yours.

They fit perfectly over one outlet and don't cover the second, so it remains useable. Just the right amount of light to prevent tripping at night. There's enough design in how they look to keep them from seeming too plain. The price is right. All good on this purchase!

Bought these to try and light up my long, dark hallway at night. I specifically wanted to light up the floor. These are nice lights and work well, just didn't have the wide ray of light I was looking for. They are great if you want a more focused, pin-point light and I really like that you can turn the top of the light to direct light where you want it.

I think these are great for lighting a hallway with low outlets. You can easily rotate the heads of them to direct light wherever you want it, which is awesome. They are small and only cover a single outlet, leaving the other still usable. For me, the light is too bright though. I bought it for my bedroom, so the dog can walk around without smashing into furniture. But it's way too bright and was keeping us up at night. The white light was also loud. I found another style that has a red light, which is so much better and doesn't disturb sleep at all. I think this is great for a hallway or even a baby's bedroom that you enter frequently and need enough light to move around safely. They do work well for those purposes.
