Der-Franz Fine Drinking Chocolate, 2 x 500 g

As the title says! Love this brand with no toxic crap in the food!

not very sweet, this is proper cocoa drinking chocolate. you could mix it with sugar yourself if you want to eke it out/prefer nesquick type drinks. I like the packaging as well

Great taste, but can be a little awkward make. Taste is great but if not cooked through enough can be a little powdery.

I loved it. My kids hated it. Flavour was very chocolatey and it wasn’t too sugary. It made a thicker milkshake style chocolate. Overall it is perfect.

Kids love this mixed with chai latte same brand.

This is a very nice and easy to make drinking chocolate powder.I just use it for hot chocolate, but it can be used for a myriad of other chocolate drinks hot or cold.I found it easy to mix without lumps, by using a small sauce whisk or creating a paste of the powder with a bit of milk and then pour the hot milk or water.This is a very creamy and chocolaty tasting drink, the taste is subjective and personal to each individual, some in my family found it sweet, but other including myself didn’t notice, but all agreed that it was a great chocolate taste.It comes in a resealable container with a pop on lid and it will last for a good while because it only takes two teaspoon full to make a drink.  I’ve know some chocolate drink makes on the market require significantly more powder than this.All in all a very satisfying and welcome chocolate drink.

I have been fortunate to be able to test both the white and milk chocolate varieties of this particular hot chocolate brand (I've never heard of Der-Franz but it is apparently a premium Austrian brand). Personally, I prefer white chocolate to milk chocolate but I will happily drink either varieties.Preparing the drinking chocolate is very easy - add 18g of powder to 250ml of milk (or water, but I personally don't like hot chocolate made with water) and heat (or leave cold if you prefer however, I found that it took the heat to fully dissolve all of the powder).As far as the taste goes, I felt that it was quite bitter and wished I had added some sugar (although I don't feel that this should ever be necessary). I also found that when the chocolate was poured out into a mug, it very quickly formed a thick skin which slightly diminished the texture.Overall, I feel that I've had other hot chocolate drinks in the past which taste much better and don't form a thick skin so quickly, so I'm not convinced that I would purchase this again in the future.

I bought this product because the back clearly states it can be dissolved in cold milk and I fancied the idea of a posh adult style chocolate Milkshake. Unfortunately it did not dissolve at all and tasted like chalk although I'm pleased it did not contain too much sugar. I'm not one of these people who can be bothered to boil hot milk or even know how to. Bit disappointing as I bought 4 tins and planned to buy more.

Buono e gustoso e una buona cioccolata

The media could not be loaded. Non corrisponde all'ordine fatto, il prodotto non è per bevanda alla cioccolata , ma è caffè aromatizzato al cioccolato, inoltre non accettano il reso, obbligando a tenerlo, non comprate questo prodotto.

Latte e cioccolato , da bambino ci andavo matto , la colazione e la merenda erano una felicità unica .Mi ricordo perfettamente il profumo e la dolcezza delle torte che mia madre preparava sapientemente con la sua ricetta a base di cioccolato solubile ….Mutano i tempi , variano le nostre abitudini , ma ogni volta che vedo una confezione di cioccolato solubile , ho un tuffo al cuore , mi tornano in mente tutti gli anni passati con brio e spensieratezza  .A distanza di parecchi lustri e la storia si ripete , ma il protagonista cambia ed è mio figlio.Con questo cioccolato solubile della Der franz basta mettere un paio di cucchiaiate stracolme di cioccolato in circa 200 ml di latte è la felicità del piccolo è tangibile.Il cioccolato si scioglie bene, nessun grumo ed il risultato è una buona densità.Voglio paragonare due marchi e trovare alcune differenze,inizio con questo cioccolato del brand  Der Franz e terminando con il popolarissimo Nesquik.Ecco alcune differenze sostanziali:CIOCCOLATO : Der Franz : 26% cacao , Nesquik: cacao 21,3%Sugli ZUCCHERI entrambe si equivalgono ,come anche sul prezzo.Il gusto è soggettivo, ma sinceramente ,noi preferiamo questa che della Der Franz , che il cioccolato solubile della Nestle.

Non è malvagia questa bevanda al cacao/cioccolato, ma va considerato appunto per quello che è.La percentuale di effettivo cacao è infatti piuttosto modesta, solo il 26%, mentre la fanno da padroni lo zucchero (primo ingrediente) e l’amido di mais (indicato con “maize starch” sul barattolo) come 3° ingrediente.Sul barattolo stesso, inoltre, non ci sono indicazioni in italiano, ma solo in inglese e tedesco (la casa è appunto tedesca).È una polvere marrone chiaro (data la percentuale minima di cacao) da mettere nel latte, come se fosse una sorta di Nesquik/Ovomaltina (anche se queste, secondo me, sono di un’altra categoria come qualità complessiva).Non contiene addensanti, quindi non va bene per preparare una cioccolata in stile Ciobar.Qua sotto i contenuti nutrizionali (per 100 gr.):Energia: 404 kcalProteine: 5,90 gr.Grassi: 5,80 gr. (di cui saturi: 4 gr.)Carboidrati: 82,10 gr. (di cui zuccheri 57,30 gr.)Fibre: 7 gr.Sale: 0,47 gr.Come si vede, la maggior parte è zucchero, ed infatti anche le calorie totali rispecchiano il contenuto energetico dello zucchero piuttosto che quello del cacao, che è un grasso.Come gusto, ok, non è male.Un cucchiaio nel latte direi che ci sta.Si scioglie perfettamente (anche nel latte freddo), senza creare grumi.Ma non è certo un prodotto che passerà alla storia per le sue complessive qualità organolettiche o nutrizionali.La data di scadenza del mio barattolo è il 28/10/2021.Al momento in cui scrivo, il prezzo è di 11 € per 1 kg di polvere.Non è poco, considerando che il Nesquik, ad esempio, costa 4 € al chilo e l’Ovomaltina 11 €, ma essi hanno pure vitamine & minerali (qua invece neppure l’ombra).Insomma, un gusto accettabile, quello sì, ma per questi ultimi aspetti, non mi sento molto di consigliarlo, meglio restare sul classico.
