South River, Organic Sweet White 1 Year Aged Miso, 1 Lb

I think the headline says it all. I'll leave it at that.

The flavor is pretty sour, very good quality; but I paid overpriced!!! $26.00 is too expensive!!!This product in other places Isrrael selling less price about $15

I just love this miso brand it has excellent flavor and texture, a terrific product. My only complaint is it costs much more on Amazon prime that it does at the store so shipping isn't really free. Plus right now it is impossible to find on line or at Whole Foods etc. It makes the best fish marinade I have ever had (A Nobu recipe you can find online). I would buy it on Amazon now though if they had it and ignore the price, it is that good!

I'm sure this is great, but there's no way I'm going to find out: mine arrived leaking from under the cap. I agree with the reviewer who suggested that the company shrink-wrap their jars. It's not a question of messiness or distributor packaging (mine was actually packaged quite nicely), but whether the contents could have become contaminated due to a direct path (via the leak) from the inside to the outside of the jar.

I really like this miso. It is a great quality. It has an amazing flavor and it's not too salty like other brands.

The company sells very high quality miso, but if they want to ship it customers I would advise them to shrink wrap the jars as the one I received came leaking

South River Miso is the best! I love the Sweet White because it is so versatile - use it in salad dressing, smoothies - but actually I have yet to meet a South River Miso I do not like. The company is very firm about not ground shipping during warm months and I appreciate that. While I prefer to order directly from the company, I see that Amazon Prime will 2-day ship it. Might be a great summer option. If you love miso try South River.
