Rockport Men's Springboro Rocklake Sandal

I wear sandals all the time. I got a pair of these somewhere and was quite pleased. I was more pleased when I could get them for a fair price on Amazon. The Amazon history tells me I've bought seven pairs over the years. I got a pair of sandals from Target that looked like these. They lasted for two months, these lasted for three years. My last pair wore out and when I went to get a replacement, "oh no," they are not available (in my size). I got a similar looking pair of Rockport sandals and promptly found out Rockport had a chapter 11 bankruptcy and was bought by another company. I don't know about anything but that one pair of sandals but the new product is nothing like the old. Very disappointing.

Good for extra wide feet.

I had a pair identical to these that I bought from a guy selling shoes off the back of a motorbike in the Dominican Republic a couple of years ago. They were (and still are) very, very comfortable but the glue that holds the straps to the footbed soon started to come adrift and I glued them myself a couple of times. However when I was in South America I was able to get a shoe repair guy to stitch through all the strap attachment points and secure them much better. I just bought a replacement pair and intend to get them stitched BEFORE they start to go bad. The fact is that the glue will not stand up in a hot climate, and who wants to wear them in a cold climate? I was also walking one day and one of the rubber undersoles started flapping lose. To fix that it is best to use contact cement and clamp them tightly overnight. If you have big feet, these are excellent, because the straps can be adjusted each time you put them on, if necessary. So, yeah, these shoes could be great. It is not like the competition at the price point is all that either. But with a few fixes, they can be pretty darn useful. So I recommend the following tweaks. 1. Get the uppers sewn through onto the footbed next time you are in some place where it will not cost an arm and a leg. 2. Restick the rubbber soles or replace and stick with contact cement if they come lose. 3. Get the velcro replaced if you need to, or do it yourself. 4. I also made a pair of insoles from a cheap yoga mat and glued them in place with contact cement for extra comfort. Would I buy them again? I just did, in the absence of anything better.

Good quality sandal

I am elderly, and try and do forty minutes on the treadmill daily--at a fast pace. I just did that in my new Rockport Springboro Rocklake sandals. My normal foot plant is such that my toes point outward slightly. At first my steps were not as smooth as normal--I customarily wear running shoes. I focused on placing my foot straight forward. And I was very surprised how smoothly the shoes permitted full range flexibility from heel to toe--but not side to side. It did not strain my feet but rather welcomed and enhanced each step with ease. They consistently felt great for the duration. I tightened the straps snugly but not too tight. Obviously I never expected that performance from sandals Wow, and I caught these on sale at amazon.com. Obviously I highly recommend

Daily use footwear

Me gustó las sandalias están en un buen empaque como nunca lo había visto, muy cómodos y excelente modelo y color. Lo que no me gustó que dejaron el paquete en la caseta de vigilancia en el piso, estaba cerrado la puerta ya que el vigilante estaba en rondín, y pase de casualidad en vehículo y me baje ya que era la caja que podría ser mía, y así fue. Gracias a Dios y no se la robaron.

Durable, great traction... Nice color and they really stay tight on your feet. I'd buy these again.
