I mix one scoop of this with soy protein powder, soy milk, and a banana, blend it up, and have it for lunch. Been using it every day for over a month now, and I expect I won't ever stop.The combination is surprisingly tasty; I actually look forward to it every day as my treat and I don't get hungry again until dinner time. The amazing part to me is how much mental energy it seems to give me, which is a real discovery. Instead of burning out on yet another cup of espresso, this stuff actually seems to make it a lot easier for me to focus all afternoon, a feeling I have not had in years (probably due to my excess coffee habit, which for too long has made me a little scatterbrained by 2 PM). I've known for a long time I'm not getting nearly enough greens and vegetables, and I suspect this may be the perfect substitute.I am also quite glad to be done with the chore of making sandwiches every day, and yes I am slowly losing weight without having to do anything else.One thing that happens to some people (including me) when you finally starting putting good stuff in your system: your digestion temporarily...err.."changes." It took a couple of days for mine to adjust. However, I had not been eating any vegetables at all for a while; you may experience no such thing. The good news is that my digestion is now better than before I started. So, if you're not serious about better nutrition and losing weight, then that sort experience might at first put you off. Just think of it as your digestive system "waking up" after being put to sleep by years of abuse.My only complaint here is with the Amazon listing itself: It's hard to tell if this is the powder or capsules, or which variety this is in the company's lineup (I had to go to their Web site and read a lot). But luckily, it's the same product I first discovered on a shelf at Whole Foods.But, again, this stuff tastes great when mixed as above -- and without the sugars and other horrible stuff you find in most mainstream "health" drinks, which just make me gag they are so sweet. I tell friends not to be put off by worrying about the flavor, just give it a try.We all get more and more hurried every day, so we need to give our bodies as much of a fighting chance as we can. I think this is the most important product out there, and I've tried a LOT of them in the last 30 years.By the way, the best blender out there? Okay, so you have to choose what you find most important... your health or the smell and taste of the product. 10 out of 10 makes me feel great. 10 out of 10 mixes well. 10 out of 10 on quality. As for the smell..... it's just awful... I mean so awful if you put it in a bottle and shake it up then go to take a sip it'll make your face box up! It's dreadful but here again it's a 10 for the health benefits!

I have been using this product for several years and I cannot recommend it enough. I take one scoop daily in my fruit and yogurt smoothie each morning. It is so good for you! I'm completely perplexed at people commenting about the flavor - this is NOT a beverage. It is a supplement. It has superior ingredients for your health. If you want a tasty drink, go order that elsewhere. This powder is intended to be mixed in with somethin else, just as any health food powder or extract would be used. It does not have sweeteners, additives or flavoring agents added, thank goodness! It is a pure, clean product chock full of nutrients, probiotics and properly dried greens.

I started using garden of life a few years back after reading the makers diet book which helped me tremendously. This particular formula has HSO (homeostatic soil organisms) which help balance your bacteria and strengthen your immune system. Since I started taking it my bowels normalized, my skin cleared up, my energy increased, and I lost weight. Now, I did follow the makers diet guidelines which were simple. I went from 185 to 135 in about a year. I'm a 5'4 female. I was able to finally get pregnant....twice...back to back! I didn't follow any diet or take this supplement during my pregnancies so I went back to being 190 lbs! So here I go again. I will write and update in six months to see if this works as well as the first time. It's NOT a weight loss anything, just good old organic nutrition.UPDATE: Although I have not been as disciplined as before while drinking this supplement, taking it 2-3 times a week has brought my baby weight down to 164 from 190. It's hard to be organized with two little toddlers so my respect to those women who are in control. I do try to keep a serving in a glass jar so that after a light protein breakfast i add a little apple juice and a lot of water and shake it until it's mixed. I'm also insulin resistant and have suffered with pcos for years so it makes it harder to loose weight. This supplement, along with a low-glycemic diet, are sloowwwly helping me loose weight again. I recommend everyone read THE MAKERS DIET by Dr. Jordan Rubin. It will change your life (understatement).

The media could not be loaded. I’ll be honest, the taste might need some time to acquire but I really do feel great. I take this first thing in the morning and use a mixing wand to help it blend. I definitely notice a difference in how I feel and function, especially since I’m always on the go between kids and work. I highly recommend trying it out and don’t give up after the first taste!

I would have given it a zero, but it would not allow.This product has Stevia which is not clearly marked in the label. Additionally, it has an awful taste. It does not fully mix into the water, leaving clumps that are difficult to swallow—causing gagging.
