Gets plenty cold
I use this with water cooling. It does a great job. Gets so cold that the boxed heat sync actually frosts up.

Save your money. Twice the power usage than a mini fridge, 1/20 the cooling capacity.
Took some actual readings across the coil and you'll be lucky to even get 1F Delta. It's more like 0.5F delta across. They claim 6A and it's only about 3A. What you DO GET is 154F on the hot side! 😂 There's an offset between the temp sensors of approx 0.5F orange reading higher than yellow. So based on that, look at the pics, you get barely any cooling at all.

Cooler would be better
Does not get as cold as expected

works fine with 15L chamber
I bought this for cooling optical experiments. Inserted into a 15L chamber I can reach around 4 deg C in 30 minutes. It is important to insulate the chamber-I used 1" foam. I increased the utility by replacing the 12706 peltier chips with 12710 ones.

Basically a toy or for a science project.
I tried fixing my cheap wine cooler with this as the wine cooler had a smaller Peltier. Neither of them worked. If you want to chill wine get one that has a compressor and spend the money or drink less.

Cools Like Crazy
Of course, it heats just as well. The package here is well designed, tight but as a novice some guidance around proper mounting (direction of translucent plastic flange, routing of wires term on 2 sides to source) would be helpful. I've sorted and tested, but need info: 1 peltiere module is used, mfg & part no? One mfg (liscensed) claims dramatic longevity ++ & need to eval for planned replacement.

Not as rated
The unit I received does not have a 6 amp Peltier device fitted as claimed. The performance was poor so I measured the current drawn, which was 4.2A @ 13.7v from a power supply capable of 20A. So it is only a 4A device. I'd need to fit a 6A or even an 8A chip to get adequate cooling from it. Secondly, the unit was sent without any protective material around it in the box, resulting in one fan being broken in transit. The seller did make a small refund and I was able to repair it.

The 72 watt power advertised [6 amps x 12 volts] is false.
The kit arrived shoddily packaged, but with no apparent damage, this is important since you don't want to waste time ordering something that may arrive damaged. I tested the three fans and the peltier cooling device on a 12 volt power supply capable of delivering 10 amps. The three fans functioned as expected. The peltier device only used 3 amps at 12 volts instead of the advertised 6 amps at 12 volts. Thus, it has half the cooling power advertised. Since it isn't close to what was advertised, I would rate it zero stars, except that I was forced to rate it 1 star to post this review.
