After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit dubious but decided to give it a shot and order anyway. I was so pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this set and frankly confused by some reviews.The 3 pencils are worth the price of admission by themselves! They are beautiful... nicely weighted, good grip, smooth action. Impressive finish. A sandpaper pad for lead sharpening is included along with 3 packages of leads and a mini kneaded eraser.Love-love the leather zip case. I can't wait to tuck it in my suitcase on my next trip!Overall, this is a fantastic value for the price to be sure.Ps: This set would make a impressive and useful gift for anyone from student to pro!

the leads are great to use, the pencils are nice and them being color coded has made swaping between them very nice, but the threads on the top of the pencils unscrew themselves over time, just a little loose, other than that everything is great

I love this kit. It seems to have excellent features, price as well as the pouch. I hope the pen will be durable . The lead containers have very friendly design. I could not give hire rating on durability because have not used it .The pens are of different colors and excellent colore selection so that you can use them according to hardness- Smart!

I'm always a sucker for a good leather bag, pouch or case. This one is great and exactly as advertised. I love it.The pencils are actual mechanical pencils, which I didn't think they would be, with push button feed. They have a nice weight to them and feel nice in the hand. The leads are a bit harder than the numbering, meaning the 5B feels harder, more like a 2 or 3B and even the 4H feels like a 5 or 6H. Though to be fair that is the lead already in the pencils, not from the 6-packs shown so maybe those are better. They are right that the softer, higher number B leads are hard to find at this size so I'm not too put off. Stupid aside, the colors are cream, olive green, and black (my picture makes them look darker than they are) while the advertised picture makes them look white, grey and black.The nail file comes in a nice plastic case which I like because it will keep the powdered graphite you've filed off the pencils from getting all in your case. Though to be fair, having the suede leather inside stained with graphite will just make it look well-used and cooler.My minor complaint is their picture shows a Faber-Castell kneaded eraser that is twice the size of the Prismacolor kneaded eraser in my package. You scan see the size difference in my recreating of their picture. I don't know if the brand swap is any lesser in quality, but it is definitely less in size. You can see how small it is once you've kneaded it in other people's pictures.I'll live though, I came for the case, was happy to get the soft, dark lead even if it isn't as dark as I thought it would be, pleasantly surprised with how nice the pencils are, and I already have plenty of kneaded erasers lying around.

I've been searching for a mechanical pencil that is durable, steady and comfortable and now I've found THREE! This kit is awesome and very portable. Well made pencils and case that come with refill lead in three gradient shades, a sharpening file and kneeded eraser. I love it!

I was sold on the leather pencil bag at first glance and thought well I have drawing pencils so maybe I'll just replace the ones that come with this with mine... well first of all the mechanical pencils that come with this are my go to currently! I love them! They have a great weight and work like work horses on my art projects!And oh yeah.. the leather bag is amazing!! Very well built strong stitching and zipper. Very very happy with this purchase!

I already have a fairly full art supply bag I use as part of my work. I wanted to add pencils for sketching, but not only is my bag delightfully full (causing space to be a premium) but I had concerns of traditional charcoals or pencils breaking due to being hauled around in an overstuffed bag. This set comes with a bare minimum of what you need, but provides additional space in the leather pouch to add a blending stump and tortillon with some spare room if I wanted more or to add an additional pencil.I am sure there are sets with a larger variety available, and at lower costs. If you want a large set, this isn't for you. If you want a set that is very easy to keep handy at all times, this is the choice I would recommend.

Some reviewers don't like this graphite, but I like it because it's actually graphite and clay - no plastic polymers.The pencils are ok - I prefer drop clutch, but these are like 2mm mechanical pencils, not lead holders. (The colours are as advertised - I know another reviewer got slightly different shades.)The case is great.The kneaded eraser/rubber was so dried out it couldn't really work anymore, so I binned it. Not a big deal.Also came with the pictured nail file 'sharpener', encased in a plastic holder - about half the size of the regular supermarket nail files that look the same, so you could buy a pack and cut them in half, I suppose. I prefer the Uni 2mm lead pointer.
