This glue is cured by ultraviolet light. It will not work if the light cannot reach the glue. Thus it is no use for glueing together anything that isn't transparent. The pen has a small needle-like applicator for the glue, while the other end holds a tiny UV-led lamp for curing the glue. Time to cure depends on the amount of glue to act on and if the UV light has to penetrate thick glass or transparent plastic. The stated time of 3 seconds is optimistic - 10 seconds is more like it and for larger applications, 30 seconds may be best. The cured glue is completely clear so it's ideal for repairing glass. I use this glue a lot for model-making applications, it is ideal for glueing transparent canopies, headlight etc in place. You can even use it as quick-setting filler in places that you know you can reach with UV light. If you are going to use it a lot, rather than use the tiny LED lamp on the pen, invest in a cheap UV torch.

This only works for topical application as it needs exposure the UV light to cure and harden.

This type of glue is useful in special situations. It's handy to be able to create the right shape of repair then instantly set it. It is not nearly as strong as the adverts imply. Wherever I can I use hot melt adhesive or two part epoxy or ABS solvent. I have used it to repair broken spectacle frames on several occasions but the adhesion and strength is not really up to the job. The volume of glue supplied can be measured in droplets. However despite its limitations I always keep some available for those occasions when other glues cannot be used as effectively.

This stuff is useless, if the UV light can’t hit the glue it’s not going to set, I bought this to repair a plastic lawn mower part, but the light can not penetrate a solid surface so it just did a limp hold round the edges, about as useful as chewing water! Tried on other stuff to but same issue, so if your wanting to use it on anything that’s NOT transparent (just like the usefulness of this so called glue) move along and try buying a different glue, or use the mouldable plastic pellets to make a new part, far stronger will last for years and it’s cheaper by far! Yes Amazon sell mouldable plastic pellets, can be sanded, drilled and re moulded time and time again, and it’s tough as nails!Good luck if you choose to go down this so say fantastic glue! It should be pulled off the market as it more like a UV resin! If you have not got the sarcasm, I’m not impressed at all, I’m getting rather a large stock pile of glues that ether harden in tube, don’t glue the item they were sold for, in this case can’t possibly give you a full level glued surface, and dried up stuff! Can be used to build up material by applying a little and then curing it before applying some more. It sticks to hard plastics and is hard enough that it can be filed when cured. Curing takes only a few seconds.
