This Cross Bailey Fountain Pen is exquisite. Nicely balanced and good size even for my huge hands. The cap posts well. The nib is medium and it writes like a skate on smooth ice. Beautiful ink flow that has never skipped a beat in the weeks I've had it. It came with a cartridge which I used and finished in a few days, I had the Cross Converter waiting in the wings ready to go. It's effortless. I wish all pens were this smooth. Well Done!

I love this pen! A nice, lightweight pen of Cross quality. I ordered and replaced the ink with a Cross refill that has a broad tip, as I like bold ballpoint ink. I am a pen freak and this model made me happy. I now have 2 colors.

The pen itself is a pretty color but the ink cartridge that came in the pen doesn't work. I had to order a new cartridge in order to use it. That was disappointing.

Love everything about this pen. It just fits in my hand perfectly and oh does it write perfectly. It’s also very beautiful. Worth every penny

Pros:very smooth writingink flows continuously and consistentlyfeels good in the handCons:actually, none that I can findThis is the 4th fountain pen I've tried in the last couple months in my quest to find a pen I like other than the gel pens, ballpoints, and all the other throwaways I've used over the last 40 or 50 years. The last couple months are my first foray into fountain pens so take this review for what it's worth. There are undoubtedly other pen brands and varieties on the market that are as good or better than this one. Having said that, I am extremely happy with this one and my quest is over. (at least for now, as I may get the bug for more later)I also tried the Cross Bailey pen with a medium nib. That one was just as smooth writing as this one (fine nib) but the lines it created were too bold for my purposes. If you like bolder lines the medium one may be better suited to your writing style. I would compare the line width this pen creates is comparable to one of the pilot gel pens with a .5mm point, maybe slightly thicker, but not as thick as a .7mm.i imagine the other varieties of Cross pens are just as good as this one for a lot more money. If you like a heavier pen you may want to look into those. This one is pretty light and that's one of the things I like about it.

I purchased this pen because I wanted an everyday pen that if I lost it or someone used it from my desk and it disappeared I wouldn't be as upset as the more expensive ones. I ordered the Waterman Kultur first and right from the start it was tearing the paper and not smooth. So I sent it back and requested a replacement, which was the same thing. I decided to get the cross as it was more or less the same price range. I am so impressed, I absolutely love the color! It writes soo smooth and it feels good in the hand not too light or heavy, it's just perfect. Needless to say, sending the Waterman replacement back and I'm going to purchase the cross in the coral color. I would definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed.Update: I purchased the Coral to give as a gift. I was glad the package was delivered quickly just in time for mothers day. However, I was disappointed as it did not come in a gift box, and the two cartridges were also missing. Now I will have to buy something to put the pen in, and cartridges before gifting. Due to the fact that I now have to spend more money (so i'm not saving anything) i have given it three stars. The pen itself looks beautiful. I can't comment on anything else as it's a gift.

I love pens - I have a stupid number of them, but I think this is the best one I have bought in a long time.The point seems finer than the stated medium, but as I prefer a finer writing line that's not a problem for me. The pen writes smoothly, and is a good size and weight.I'm very happy with this pen and will probably purchase it in other colours and the cartridge pen version.
