Fantastic pillow If you experience neck pain!
This Sobokowa pillow is wonderful, if you experience cervical neck pain. I had purchased a different cervical pillow which turned out to have no support whatsoever, and I needed a new one. I chose the queen size Sobokawa pillow, and I'm really glad that I did. I am able to roll it up under my neck and that helps me get comfortable enough to fall asleep. During the night I roll over frequently, and the pillow always has sufficient support whether I sleep on my side or my back. In the morning, I no longer wake up with neck pain, which is the most important point of all. I feel it is a great value for the money. I experienced no odd smell whatsoever. This is a very high quality, great pillow.

Can't beat the support
I suffer from a bad neck and I've been using this pillow since I was 19 (47 now) and it first came out! My first one messed up and a moving tragedy rendering me to buy another after suffering over a year thinking life could go on without this pillow! I was wrong ! Soooo wrong! Now I'm back to amazing neck support and less headaches!

Great support but too small and overpriced - bought elsewhere
I'm giving this buckwheat hull pillow 4 out of 5 stars. The product quality is excellent, but there are some practical issues. This is genuinely a good product. The buckwheat hull filling provides the firm, strong support that I personally prefer - it's much better than memory foam for my needs. I really appreciate how it maintains its shape and doesn't compress like traditional pillows do. The support is consistent throughout the night, which helps with my neck and spine alignment. However, I have two significant complaints: size and price. This pillow is simply too small for my preferences, and the price point is quite high for what you get. When I calculated the cost per cubic inch of filling, it just didn't seem like good value. The quality is definitely there - the buckwheat hulls are clean, the cover is well-made, and the construction feels durable. If you're someone who likes firm support and this size works for you, and if price isn't a major concern, then this would be a great choice.Unfortunately, I ended up purchasing from a different seller who offered a larger size at a better price point. It's a shame because the product itself is well-made, but the size and cost factors made me look elsewhere. I'd recommend shopping around before settling on this particular option.

Perfect!
I've had mine for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I don't wake up with neck and shoulder pain any more. I sleep so much better with this pillow.

Could be a great pillow, but buyer be aware check your seams on the pillow.
I got myself one of these 8 weeks ago and liked it so much that I got one for my wife for her birthday in July. She has had the pillow barely 6 weeks and noticed something that felt sharp poking through her zippered silk pillowcase for the last few days. She opened it today and saw that this pillow had come un-sewn at the seam where the tag is sewn onto the pillow. There were buckwheat hulls spilled all over inside her pillowcase. The tag came completely off and as you can see in the photos the holes from the thread are still intact, meaning this was not sewn in very well. We tried to contact customer service but apparently after just a short 6 weeks we are out of our window for replacement or help with this obviously defective item. Don’t waste your money on this pillow as you will literally be throwing your money away. It would be a great pillow if it had any sort of customer service available. We understand if we’d have this a long time and know we would just have to replace it, but having this happen so soon after getting it is very disappointing.

Very Small but works
I bought the 'Standard' size pillow. First: I really liked sleeping on this pillow. I woke up without the usual shoulder and neck pain. So 5 stars for results. However: the 'standard' size is NOT a regular sized pillow. It is very small... Maybe 2/3s or 1/2 the size of a normal standard plow. And it is not as full as I had hoped. So it is small and a little thin compared to an actual standard size. You will have to make or find smaller pillow cases for it too.I will keep this one since it works as advertised but it will be for camping or travel. It was a good way to test if liked this style though. I ended up buying another one from a different company that I can also fill woth more buckwheat husks.

Best pillow ever!
What is not to love about this Sobakawa pillow? This is my second one. The previous I had for 18 years. It is filled with buckwheat hulls so it is pliable and shapable. I have a condition with my neck and regular standard pillows cause me much pain. It took me only one night to get used to it as it being filled with the buckwheat hulls it makes a noise. But once your head is on it, there is no more noise unless you are moving around. I get better support with the Sobakawa and no "wry neck" issues. The pillow does have some weight to it, not lightweight like a foam pillow. Works great for side, back or tummy sleepers. You can adjust the amount of hulls in the pillow as it has a zippered access. Personally, I have tried so many pillows in my lifetime that I had about given up when I came upon the first one I had. This was a definite game changer for me. And yes, there will come a day when you will have to purchase a new pillow. It is after all filled with the buckwheat hulls and over time they will break down. But mine lasted 18 years so I am not complaining one bit.
