Has pros and cons think before you buy
So I've been a powerlifter/bodybuilder for about 15 years. I wanted something for my garage for the days I couldnt make it to the gym. If you are a beginner or older this may be perfect for you. It was a toss up between this and a folding wall mount rack (wish I went with) for a fraction of the price.Pros- you can hit every body part on this machine and a great option over a bowflex or a machine that has a limited weight stack. The machine is very solid and well build. The pulley system is extremely smooth. I did like working chest, military press, and back on this machine it reminds me of hammer strength machines.Cons- the bench which I purchased with is valued over $300 and is not worth it at all. The base is solid like the machine, but the top pad is wobbly and leans to the left or right when weight is not evenly distributed like a cheap bench would. The bottom part where you sit came slightly angled and crooked and I've just delt with it. These issues cause imbalances and potentially can lead to injurt. save your money and purchase a seperate bench. Squats are not a natural motion and I've tried it every way possible which was a disappointment. Deadlifts/stiff leg deadlifts are useless as well because of the unnatural travel path of the bar it throws you way forward. You need a substantial amount of weight on the machine when squatting or the machine shifts all over the place. The straight bar for squats release lever came undone while squatting and took about an hour to to pull the threaded bolt forward to re-attach it. I would personally return this as it's still in great condition if I could in a heart beat. Because of the cost of the bench and it being so flimsy on top as the bottom is solid and the squat bar falling apart I took a stars off. Again this is great for first time users or older people but I wish they allowed a trial period and if you dont like you can return it like many other manufacturers do. Unfortunately I won't be able to sell this for half of the original cost.

Rock Solid Gym
I've had the powertec now for a little over a year now and it has exceeded my expectations in every area. I'm 6.2 and 225lbs and the gym is rock solid including the bench when I'm under the bar. There's no lean.or wobble on my unit whatsoever. I routinely bench in the 300 lb range and load the pulley up as well. Motion is smooth and fluid and very stable. This is one of the best home units at this price point. If you're looking for a piece of equipment with a manageble footprint and quality build, don't hesitate on making this the center of your home gym.

High quality – well worth the money
Very happy with this purchase. Worked out on it for just a little – love the smoothness of the bench, the weight arms, and the cable pully system. The packaging was solid, very solid. Everything was there, every bolt, nut and washer as a matter of fact I’m a little worried because I have a nut and bolt left over – every time I walk by the system I look for an empty hole that look like a bolt, nut and washer should be. With said, let me tell you what I didn’t like. First, for shipping purpose, the pully cable was rolled up and stuffed in top of the tower which caused it to kink. Although I think it will straighten out after a few uses (I think.) The only other problem I had was attaching the weight arm (I think that’s what it’s called) to the tower on the left side (standing facing the front of the unit.) The provided screw would not screw in, I tried both screws on the left side and did not work. Tried both screws on the right side (standing facing the front of the unit.) and had no problem. I was not about to tear down the system just to wait weeks to get it back. I ran down to a local hardware store (took the screw with me) to get a tap that matched the screw, came back and tapped the threaded to re-thread and everything is perfect now.

great value for a in home center
I give this Powertec workout bench 5 stars. Delivery was excellent. Came in 3 boxes. The instructions were in Box #2.Powertec should put it in Box 1. So I built the work bench w/out instructions. This wasted an extra hour. As far as the the quality, I think its 5 stars, even if made in China. I think this is excellent if you are looking for a safe pump, staying fit and need an efficient home fitness routine. If you are in your physical peak and still increasing building strength, maybe this is not for you. In other words, if you want something better than Planet fitness, this works. Gold's Gym - this may not be your thing.

Good home gym but bench needs work
2 things I don’t like about this home gym, the bench and the end caps pop off on the attachments. The bench wobbles left and right, the bottom part of the bench is solid but the pad part and extension part move a lot, not dip but side to side. The silver end caps are 💩, the cushion is nice though, the leg workout attachment especially. And that’s another thing, I got 3 attachments for this and they all wobble in the holder, the pec attachment in particular. The things I do like about it are that I don’t need a spotter, the fact that you can work each arm with the pull of a pin, the amount of different exercises you can do is endless(look on YouTube, they just added a new video of all of them), and the unit is solid.

works great, well made
We have had it a couple weeks, works great , well made , versatile, allows to do flat bench, incline bench , decline bench without spotters , shoulder press works good , cable system works great and has a good feel to it , bench is removeable and sturdy , only drawback I see is the time it takes to set it up for new exercise , overall would buy again, we have limited space and a lot of equipment in a 16x20 den/workout room , it fits our needs ,to be nitpicky if I were the designer I would focus on more travel on the cable system , more adjustments on the leverage bars [the megatech has but do not have the unilateral arms ], and maybe put 2 weight horns on each side to keep plates off floor , my 18 year old really likes , I am 54 and just getting back working out from 30 years ago , the safety of having a stopping point on the leverage arms was a big part of our decision to buy this , for myself as well as my son and his friends that workout with him
