These were the perfect find for the construction cake I made for my son's birthday. I used acrylic paint to add white lines and make them look more like traffic cones.

Oh my goodness!! What a wonderful addition to our construction themed birthday party! It made my cake look like a work of art :-) I did have to add a couple of extra layers to match the size of the candles, but it just made the cake that much more awesome. The quality and construction (no pun intended) of them was sound. The orange portion did not separate from the bottom square and did not melt overly quickly. They came packaged securely so not a dent or scratch. Note that they are bigger (taller as well as wide) than a regular sized birthday candle, so would have dwarfed the cake if I hadn't added the additional 2 layers. This would not matter to most people, but hey, some of us are just a little extra. In case you are wondering, I stacked four 9 inch cake rounds to make a "dirt pile" and used a 5 pack CAT construction equipment set (Walmart) to complete the site. This made the candles and the cake more to scale. My son actually gasped and said, "WooooooWWW Mommy!" Made my day with his happiness. he was impressed that the cones were lit for him to make a wish. Super cute! I'd buy again. We received many compliments on the whole project - and it was yummy too!

We did a construction birthday for my son, and these candles were a hit on his cake! He loved them, so much so in fact that for two days we would light them (on a paper plate) just so he could blow them out. They are bigger than I realized (in the attached pics it's a 9x13 cake for size reference), and they burn down slowly so they last well! Because of the shape of the construction cone, the base works well to place it in icing and it stands up/stays up. I could see myself buying these again next year if he's still obsessed with all things trucks/machinery/construction.

I used these with dirt for our construction themed party. They are super cute and worth the money. Everyone loved how well the candles fit the theme. Fun!

This is a great candle set. It is fun, and they were easy to light. I gave them 4 stars because they were to large for my construction cake. I just set them to the side of my cake and my son liked it like that. The candles were bigger than my construction vehicles so they looked odd beside them.

Perfect for a construction party birthday cake. They didn't melt and we had a pool party. If they had started to melt I would understand..it's wax. No, they aren't to scale...the cone is bigger than Bob the Builder but I didn't really care. My son is 2. I wanted to make a cute cake that would feed a lot of ppl on the cheap. This worked. Party City did not have them at the store and when you order online you have to pay a lot more in shipping than here.

Comically large compared to any of the little construction vehicles you’d decorate a cake with, but it just made for a much cuter cake. My son loved them on his 3rd bday cake. He kept trying to steal them to go put them on his city streets rug with his cars.
