Exceeding Expectations.
Was Skeptical At First, Due Entirely To Other Reviews About The Pad. As Soon As It Arrived (When It Said It Would) I Immediately Took It Out Of It’s Secured Packaging To Test The Pad. Right From The Box, It Worked Without A Hitch. Just Plug N’ Play. No USB Slot (Thankfully). Very Responsive, It Does Slide On Carpet, But I Expected As Such. If You’re Interested In Buying A Pad, You Can’t Go Wrong With This One. For The Price And Packaging Alone, Is Worth It. It Doesn’t Feel Cheap, And The Cord Is A Generous Length. 5/5 Would Buy Again!

Leave it out of the package for a day or 2 to air out as smells like chemicals
Looks just like the photos and just like the dance pad I had when I played the game when it 1st came out. Right out of the package it has a chemical smell so leave it out for a few days to air out before using. Works exactly as it should and the game is as fun as I remember!

Ok pad
Got this to replace my Red Octane one that died. It took quite a while to break in - lots of crunching noises from a layer inside. But that's gone after a month or two of use. The pad still doesn't always register when I hit it - I think it is worst with the down arrow, but happens with others at times, too. Update 12/25/25 After using this pad for over a year, I declare it is properly broken in. No weird noises, no poorly registering arrows (only user error). Too bad it took a year to break in. I'm raising my original 3 star review up to 4.

Nice dance pad
I purchased this dance pad for a charity streaming event. I needed something that wouldn't break the bank but would still serve the purpose of getting people to donate money so they could play a DDR song. The controller response is accurate and the pad is designed well. Yes, it is more slippery than pads I've used in the past and the grip stickers they include don't do much. I just readjusted the pad after each game and later I bought some grip tape that is intended for rugs and it doesn't move at all now.

Love DDR!
I love playing DDR and for the longest time I only had one generic dance pad. It was fine for a while until I started having more people interested in playing with me. Taking turns was not an option, so I went on the hunt for an inexpensive dance mat that would be what I needed. Instead of buying just one, I bought two of these and they are great! They are exactly what I was looking for and really do the job!! I have had zero issues with them and would highly recommend these if anyone is needing a replacement mat or just wants to try it out! The dancing games are really fun and these mats really work great!

Just Like I Remember!
I was hesitant to buy this mat due to the negative reviews. I usually don’t write reviews but I don’t want someone else to be discouraged like I was. If you played DDR back when it first came out on the PS2, this will bring you back to those days. (I’m playing DDR Extreme 2 - the blue game) Yes, the mat is a little slippery, but it doesn’t make the game unplayable. This mat is worth the purchase.

Bad Investment
I got this pad to be a second-player companion to the dance pad I usually use, my Madcatz Beatpad. I wanted to try a non-skid pad, since my Beatpad is the ultra-thin kind and slides around a lot. So I ordered this one because it was the cheapest. The pad in question was a Nakiworld pad, and arrived in new condition as advertised. The non-skid surface is nice, and the padding is much easier on your feet/arches than a flat pad. HOWEVER. I've had the pad for just around six months, and it's already mostly unusable. It falsely registers steps all the time, and fails to register about 10% of the steps while dancing, meaning you effectively can't play with it. For comparison, I've had my Madcatz for over a decade now and though I've had to tape over some tears in the plastic, it still works like new. If you're trying to decide on a dance pad to get, definitely look for a Madcatz, and skip over this product. Here, by the way, is the pad I've had for over 10 years: Madcatz BeatPad for Playstation 1 & 2

Slippery!
Got this to play DDRMax2. It absolutely works but it’s very slippery and it doesn’t stay still. It comes with little adhesive stickers but once you use them once you can’t use them again.

KONAMIのものと違い、操作性、耐久力問題なしです。 □、△を押せるのもいいです。

Great DDR mat, works exactly like my old Konami mat but is made out of nicer materials. I might have to buy another to replace my still working mat!
