The smoothest!
I've tried several different brands and this is by far the best and smoothest rotary cutter I've ever owned. You don't have to press down hard to get it to cut and there are two settings on it. It's great if you have arthritis in your hands or wrist. You can use it with either hand too.

As long as it's only for occasional use
It should be fine for occasional use. I wanted it for trimming batting edges off quilts. As long as you put a decent blade in it, it's adequate. Since it lists Kai as a replacement blade, I'm guessing that is what it came with. It did not cut but looked to be tearing the fabric. I put a name brand blade in (Fiskars, I think) it was better but still has some issues cutting through a quilt sandwich. As a side note, I've tried Kai blades before. Don't bother, just get whatever brand you would normally use.

Waste of Money
I have to admit that I made the mistake of getting a 60mm cutter instead of the 45mm ones that I'm used to. But that said, I would still think that it would work in the same manner as the 45mm. Nope! It fits in my Shape Cuts, but the blade doesn't cut the fabric consistently and I found myself "sawing" the fabric. I don't know if it's the brand or the size or a combination of, but the 60 mm blades cost so much more than the 45 mm ones. I'm not buying any more blades of this size to find out if it's the cutter or the blade. Very disappointed in Omnigrid since I've got several of their cutting mats. Since it's been used, I don't feel right in returning it.
