Best battery charger I've ever purchased!!!
This battery charger is the best one I've ever purchased. It came with the charger, an AC wall plug, and a DC car plug. I have only two issues with this charger, and both are not with the charger itself.PROS:- The charger ACCURATELY charges a very large variety of batteries (speaking strictly of mAhs) simultaneously.- The display is very easy to read.- As the specifications show, it does charge each battery independently.- The discharge functionality of this charger helps maintain battery life and provides a clean charge.CONS:- The charger itself has no real cons.- The manual provided, in short, sucks. Nothing in this product tells you how to switch from CHARGING to DISCHARGING, and visa versa. Nothing in this product or manual tells you how to turn on the LCD back-light. The words on the display of this charger which conveys the state of the charging process are truncated versions of the words, CHARGE, DISCHARGE, and ERROR. I know it sounds somewhat dumb, but there are a lot of people who will not understand what ERR means. In fact, the word ERROR in itself is ambiguous enough.- Before purchasing this product, I spent a few hours hunting down the same brand but with a 9V battery charging slot. While this brand did have a few, it was with the sacrifice of a large number of AA/AAA charging slots. Additionally searching outside of this brand was of a different make and model where the specifications of such did not clarify what I was looking for, or I needed to accept a substantial downsize with a substantial increase of cost. As great of a product as this is, I did not like having to settle for this product.Over all, I love this product. It works GREAT with Tenergy Premium & Energizer batteries. I would definitely recommend this product, or even a smaller version of it to friends and family.

Works great, easy to use
This charger works great and is very easy to use. It's almost foolproof if there's such a thing. We love that we don't have to buy new batteries all the time and throw old ones away. The convenience of it would be enough, but we're also saving money and trashing fewer batteries. We're happy.

Geat product
Love it, slow but works great and after a battery refresh it was able to fix some of my batteries which would not previously charge.

Heat during recharging is an issue
A battery that showed as not functional on another recharging system was charged by the Tenergy device. It appears that the Tenergy device charges batteries in a more "robust" way and is more tolerant of battery variations from whatever it is spec'd as.Yes the batteries do get very warm but not so hot that they can not be held comfortably. Based on the other reviews this product has a questionable high temp sensor. I suspect that recharging batteries get hot if they are left in the unit too long after they have reached full charge and because the recharging current may be aggressively high. Recharging at an aggressively high recharge current also heats up the batteries. Keep an eye on recharging progress and remove batteries as they reach full charge. I suppose that depending on your recharging environment that you could damage something if you forgot about the recharging batteries and let them overcharge. According to my Internet research the temperature effect is that batteries do not fully charge at higher temperatures. My unscientific look at this is that at full charge batteries in this unit reach about 140 degrees Fahrenheit meaning that they charge to about 82% of capacity. When you factor in discharge rate you need to decide to what extent decreased longevity is important in your application. After several cycles of use the batteries will lose full charge capability - you can bring them back to full charge capability by using the "refresh" button/function of the device, which fully discharges the battery and then recharges it - a feature included with more expensive smart chargers. The heat issue made this a solid 4 star rating. My opinion is that you need a battery charger with more than the usual 4 bays if you are serious about using rechargeable batteries, especially since the recharging time is usually hours. Getting 2 or more 4 bay chargers costs more than getting this 16 bay charger, which makes it a cost effective purchase.
