Diment PowerSurface Grinding Dust Shroud for Angle Grinder 115mm / 125mm （4 inch / 5 inch）

I had a need to grind down and smooth out a decent amount of concrete and was not looking forward to the dust cloud and time I expected it would take with a multi-tool or regular diamond blades. I ran across this combo at a far lower cost than the options from other places and gave it a try. It worked well!The pieces fit my Hitachi 4.5" angle grinder, the blade ground through the concrete at a decent rate but not too fast, and being able to connect it to my vacuum made it a much less messy activity. A respirator/mask is still needed, but I saw how well the dust shroud was working when the vacuum hose disconnected at one point. It still threw larger debris around and I had to clean up, but at least I could see what I was doing as the fine dust was sucked into the vac.Which leads me to the only negative... The "adapter" did not accommodate my 12 gallon vac, so I had to build up a combination using an adapter I had already combined with several strategic layers of duct tape. Plan to spend some time figuring out how to connect the shroud to your grinder and get a solid hose connection.

Installation was a breeze. Worked perfectly - cut down on all the dust while working in my basement. I know it definitely saved my HVAC unit without all the dirt & dust particles

This really saved me so much clean up after grinding 200+ sqft of thinset. However, setup was challenging as we had to get creative in how we connected the shroud to two different grinders. It didn’t sit flush and did wears unevenly at first but ultimately worked really well. Connecting it to the vacuum was challenging and we ended up duct taping it several times after trying the adapter and two different vacuums. I’m glad I bought it and would probably buy it again knowing these challenges because the benefit out weighed the challenges.

Overall good quality, but unfortunately did not fit my DeWalt angle grinder well. To start, the cover sat basically even with the grinding disk which meant you essentially could not get the disk to make contact with the surface. I cut away some of the plastic neck so that it could sit higher up, which allowed me to proceed with work. I'd say I could only use about one half of the grinding surface even with the modification, which resulted in uneven wear of the disk.Beyond the height issue, the actual fit around the neck was good using the provided insert and it was easy to assemble. The dust remove when connected to a rigid 12g vac was very good. The hose adapter was not perfect, but I made it work with one of my other vacuum head adapters.While it's a decent product, if I had more time I probably works have returned it for another. But given I needed to finish my project, this got the job done.

With a cyclone and 3 micro filter bag on my shop vacuum this was almost a dustless process of prepping a concrete floor. The hidden gem is the rubber hose adapter for the vacuum. Thank team

Tried to fit on both my grinders but the accompanying wheel would only clear the shroud when using two spacers leaving very little thread.It was still too short as the plastic melted at the hinged end and because of the lack of thread the wheel flew off no matter which grinder I was using.

Worked great just as advertised
