Good tool to have!
Plug and play, no issues. I needed to monitor the communication between two micro controllers , and poll one of them from my PC at the same time. I plugged the micro controllers in ports 1 and 2 (with the one being polled in 1), and my PC in port 5. Everything worked beautifully as I intended. The small size and being powered from USB are definitely good features.

Label the ports once you get it
Works perfectly as a TAP to use for Wireshark troubleshooting Ethernet-connected products. Connect one of the ports to the device you wish to monitor, another of the ports to the network, and a 3rd port to your computer running Wireshark in "Promiscuous Mode". The only real challenge is identifying which of the 5 ports you need to use for the 3 aforementioned purposes. Suggestion... Read the directions carefully, get it working, and then use a label maker or permanent marker to mark the ports so the next time you use the product you don't need to re-read the directions.Overall, great product at much lower cost than comparable dedicated TAPs.

Perfect for Wireshark
I support many different VOIP manufacturer products and constantly need wireshark captures of issues. Often times techs in the field can't/wont/don't have the ability to provide captures for troubleshooting. This device is perfect for grabbing wiresharks on your laptop since it's USB powered.Telephone guys.... THIS IS A IP BUTTSET. It's an invaluable tool for troubleshooting anything IP. Every tech should have two in the bag at all times. You often need to run two captures at the same time to compare what's happening on a particular network segment.Interconnect owners! You have no problem buying a $300 butsett for a guy... buy two of these. I guarantee it will save tech hours onsite troubleshooting the customer network.

Buy one BEFORE you need it!
1st one received had a dead port 5. No LED, no port mirroring data. I posted a question on Amazon and got an answer from Dualcomm within around an hour confirming it wasn't working right. I overnighted a 2nd one and it's working great for port mirroring. I'm not using PoE so no feedback there. Mechanically, both appeared well built. My advice would be to buy it, try it, and have it ready in your tool kit before you need it in case you get a out-of-box failure like I did.Great customer service from Dualcomm and Amazon!

Great troubleshooting device
This is a wonderful tool that can be used for troubleshooting since it has a built in monitoring port. It is powered by USB so you can use your laptop to power it or plug into a wall outlet using a phone charger. It's also very small and lightweight. It's a little on the expensive side but use it a couple of times and it will pay for itself!

Wrong advertising!
Saying it has a tap feature is false advertising. A tap should be absolutely passive, it shouldn't be physically possible for it send traffic. This is basically a switch with port mirroring fixed configuration.

Good value where >100Mb/sec is not needed.
It's simple and works well with a Kali laptop running wireshark, a USB ethernet dongle, and a phone charger for power.
