Q: can you put normal earrings through these to protect your ear from the metal of an earring but still have the metal earring in?

It depends on the size of the earring! Because it fits through some of them and wont fit through others. It also won’t be as durable when holding them so their is a little risk of them falling out.

Q: How thick is the bar like what gage ??

Not sure of thickness but it went through a my sons 6 week old piercing in his ear so he could go back to school.

Q: Having trouble getting the back off again once in the ear any suggestions

Don't shower in very hot water...try to change them weekly...don't put on too tight..etc

Q: This may seem like a silly question. Are these for stretching as that not what want. Are they Normal sizes earring

They are about the size of a normal stud earring, so are just for keeping the piercing from closing over. They will not stretch or increase the size of the piercing. I use them as I have several ear piercings and am only allowed to wear one set of earrings at work.
