BlendMount Aluminum Radar Detector Mirror Mount for Uniden R1/R3/R4/R4w - Compatible with Most American and Asian Vehicles - Made in USA - Looks Factory Installed, BNR-2001R

This is an extremely solid rearview mirror mount but damn was it difficult to install in my car! That top bracket that attaches to the stem was the difficult part. You need to remove one of the brackets, line it back up, get the screw back in it, then get the very top screw in. With that being said, this is the most solid mount I've ever had.

This unit install is pretty straight forward. You need to get your arms in a awkward position to get it setup correctly but that's not their fault. The issue that i'm having is that I am now unable to adjust my mirror. The clam is in the way preventing me from moving it down enough to see out of it correctly. It's something that I can probably live with but my real concern is when someone gets in my car and immediately tries to adjust the mirror and end up trying to force it, thus breaking it... I do NOT want that to happen because i'm sure BMW mirrors are very expensive.

Doesn't seem to obtrusive in the car (2014 mustang GT) keeps the dash nice and clean to my liking and although its not the worst thing this mount does lock the detector into the mount and you have to push the button to release it on the top of the detector. I've found that I can simply pull the detector out a little bit from the front of the mount and the upward force of the tab on the mount is enough to keep it in place even during hard WOT pulls, stopped or rolling. Keep in mind this is in a supercharged muscle car and it holds just fine w/o being fully locked in!

This mount is pretty expensive but it works. Just have some patience if you have to install it on a mirror that does not have a bunch of space other than that I am pleased with it. Mounting the radar under the mirror cleans up the look instead of having it attached to the windshield.

Works great. I’ve used this with the Uniden R3 in another vehicle and now in my RAM with the R7. Don’t believe what other reviews say about the R7 not fitting. As you can see from my pictures it does work without issue. Expensive but made well. Don’t forget the mirror tap. ;)

If you have a Chevy Camaro this is going to be a chore to install. But once you get it installed it’s totally solid mount. Make sure to lock tight the bolts or you’ll be re-tightening them a lot.

Very well built and made. Easy installation and a conversion collar if you need it.Read the fitment, otherwise the mount is extremely customizable with vertical and fore/aft adjustment. Very happy. Make sure you tighten Allen screws on either side of mount if it keeps coming loose, I put a tad of loctite just in case and the mount has been AWESOME

Never found such a nicely built mount. Kudos to the engineers. Choice of material is amazing. As a customer the only wish is the price should be little lesser.
